I've been a Buell owner for about a year now. Although I've only ever ridden with two other Buellers so far. I'm kind of cautious about joining group rides because one time, I almost got taken out by another rider I didn't know well while in a group. So I'm a bit group-shy now. I am located in south Orange County, near Ortega Highway. Anybody interested in doing a ride to the Palomar/Julian/Borrego Springs area sometime this Sept or Oct? I'm not a squid but I ride at a "spirited pace". Not reckless. Don't do stunts. Don't want to go to jail or get any tickets. But I don't ride slow either. Just fast enough to have fun without risking it all. Anybody? |

Sounds like my kind of ride. I am in Huntington and basically have the same values and ride the same way. My schedule is tight with work and a new baby, but I would be interested, even if it was just an Ortega ride. --Sean |

That is a great ride but I'm too far North for most times. Any chance you're riding up to Buellton next weekend? This will be the annual migration of Buellers (and friends) - details on American Sport Bike website. |

Thespive, I'm located in Mission Viejo. Me and another Buell rider go for rides on a regular basis. We've done most of the famous SoCal rides: Palomar/Borrego Springs/Julian; Pines to Palms; San Berdo' Mtns; etc. We also have this awesome ride we call "The Fast 400", which takes us across THE best roads south of the Central Coast. We would love to have another Bueller with the same love for riding and lack of a desire to go to jail that we do, join us on our rides across SoCal. My email is: rogue_biker@cox.net Send me an email so I can include you in my invite list. It's not a big list and usually only one or two people show up. All of them are top notch riders who are mature but fast. All have families they would like to get home to at the end of the day so they're not risk takers. Anyway, you never know until you ride with some people to know if they're the right group for you. Buellton, perfect name huh? I've been there many times. LOve the roads around there. Unfortunately, next weekend is the busiest weekend of the month for me. So I can't go. Next time. |

Yep, same rides I have done. I love going for day trips. I ride The Pace, so its third gear and technique. Love taking corners and riding at a good clip, but I am not aggressive, don't wheelie, no crossing of yellow lines, etc. I have a 2 month old baby girl to come home to, and no money to pay fines. I drop you an e-mail right now and see if I can't hook up with you guys some time. --Sean |
