Ok guys, I'd like some input from you on what kinds of subjects you would like to see covered at the BRAG meetings. So far I've got: Prepping the bike for winter storage Group Riding Suspension Setup A briefing from the shop on what kinds of things they can do with our bikes (performance-wise) Meet with the Buell of Bloomington Race team Am I missing anything? How about some input, what would you guys like to see covered? |

pete, i think you have a great start for our info sessions. let's keep trying to drum up some interest in our upcoming trips to the show in chicago(february), and homecoming at the ama road america race meet (august?). if i think of anything else, i'll let you know. |

ib, you are correct, sir! mid-ohio is in august. it also is worthy of consideration. tho not as long or fast as elkhart lake, its compact nature makes it very easy to move about for different views (even DURING a race) |

Just a note guys, Ed and I went riding today and unfortunatly Ed high-sided his bike. His bike was banged up pretty good and I'm still waiting for word from him on his condition. He was in quite a bit of pain but not incapacitated. Hopefully just bumps and bruises. Yet another example of how good a dealership Buell of Bloomington is. The shop went out there right away and picked up the bike when it became obvious that we weren't going to be able to get it back ourselves. Traci from motorclothes even rustled up some asprin for Ed and brought him some water to wash it down with. Sidenote: They have a used M2 on the floor now, same colors as Dans M2. All stock, great looking bike. Ed, keep us updated! |

hey guys, two words: PROTECTIVE CLOTHING !!!! thanks to my helmet, jacket, boots, and gloves, i am banged up but ok. all clothing on the left side bears the result of my misunderstanding with that gravel patch. i was not going very fast, but could have had big problems without the protection. wear your stuff if you have it, or buy it if you don't thanks again pete................ }}} |

Ed, make sure you bring your helmet to the next meeting. I'm glad you're ok buddy, fortunately there will be another day. All that remains to be seen is how well your bike will recover. |

No crickets here tonight. I'm really glad your okay Ed, sorry about your bike, but those things can easily be repaired/replaced. It's much better to have a bruised ego and an intact hide and head. Modern protective equipment is so great and the cost of good gear so minimal in the long run, no one has any excuse for not wearing it. Keep things safe and fun, everyone |

Pete, any word on the new exhaust and PCIII? |

The exhaust arrived tonight. The plan is that Raptor and I will install it and the PCIII on Wednesday. Serious question: How loud is 103 db? Thats the sound level this thing supposedly puts out at 3300 rpm. I looked into the silencer from where the pipes go in and I can see straight through it! This sucker might be louder than I thought. Harley, you might have competition in the sound dept. Hehe |

Well, its not that loud amazingly. It sounds awsome and the power delivery is great. |

Pete, never could get the exhaust file to work. Guess I'll just have to listen in person. I won't be at the meeting on the 12th. That is opening day for gun season on Deer. Will be in the woods with my son.

thanks for worryin' about me , guys. i am bumped and bruised, but thanks to protective clothing, am doing pretty well. i am hoping to dump the pain meds after sunday. the bike damage is high-digit but repairable. they were supposed to do the estimate today. tank, seat, screen, turn signal, footpeg, clutch lever, bars, mirror, grip, etc. i'll know more by our club meeeting next saturday. |

Ed, I've got a fair amount of what is damaged in spares. I'm really not out to part with it, but if you wind up having a hard time with your insurance co., let me know. I might sell off some of it to help you get your bike back on the road. (Message edited by cyclonemaniac on November 05, 2005) |

Speaking of parts, does anyone know if there is such a thing as an adapter cable that will adapt a 4-wire o2 sensor to fit a 2-wire input? |

Ed, it's good to hear you're healing OK. Dan, good point on deer season. I will be in the woods with my dad as well. It's our only quality time of the year. My laser eye surgery went Ok. Still not 20/20 but hope the steroid eye drops get me there in the next month! |

Chad, guess I missed hearing about your eye surgery. Did you have both eyes done, or are you going the 1 eye at a time route? I think most Docs suggest doing 1 at a time. Anyway, glad to hear it went well. Good luck on Saturday.
