Dago, were you out on the Yamaha today? I was going up 35 on the way to the Corinth dealership. And a yellow and then a blue bike pulled up alongside. The guy on the yellow bike was trying to ask or tell my something but today I decided to wear my earplugs for the first time so even when he pulled up tight and with our windshields up I couldn't hear what he had to say. damn anyway they road formation behind me for a bit. cool moment. both bikes had race numbers on them. very nice - tight rides |

As long as it is some sort of meat I'm ok. I like BBQ Steaks Mexican BBQ would be my first choice but whatever works, works for me. |

Nope, that wasn't me. The Yamaha hasn't even arrived yet. Soon I hope! I haven't even been able to capitalize on this weather for a nice ride. The flu knocked me on my @$$ last week. We had some very inconsiderate family members decide they wanted to come visit us at the last second. Each had the flu. We didn't know this until they walked in the door looking like warmed over $h1t. My 8 WEEK old daughter was the most appreciative of their little gift after 2 visits to the hospital. It's been an experience. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! |

Dave, Dickey's would be another reliable alternative for guaranteed good meat, and it is an award winning BBQ chain... http://www.dickeys.com/menuitems.html The Trail Dust has live music every night, thought you might enjoy some genuine Texas culture to go with your protein fest. Any chance you and Kandie like to dance? Check it out and let us know which sounds most enjoyable to you... http://www.traildust.com/ You can't go wrong with either one... unless you are a vegitarian. Even then, you can get some beans and taters, maybe even some salad. |

Dickies is the TGI Friday's of BBQ Let's let Paul (or someone else who really knows what's around here) pick the place. If I remember correctly, he knows of a few true local places that could potentially offer a more authentic and localized atmosphere. These are the types of places we tend to go when we all ride together. So to me, this seems much more appropriate. My $.02. |

I will agree with Dago on Dickies! The Traildust is pretty good experience for the Yanks and good food for us around here. I would agree about the mom and pop food, but you would definitely miss out on the entertainment factor. Heck! Lets go true Texas flair and just do the Stockyards,Gilley's, Love n War. LoL just throwing ideas out there. Dagone! My mouth is already watering. |

I don't care where we go! Kandie will not be with me, she decided not to go. I don't dance(well, except for the "I just sold another Buell" dance) "Real" Texas BBQ sounds better than the chain store stuff. |

Just to enable me to request days off, can I get confirmation of the exact dates that we're talking about riding / dinner / etc? If I remember correctly, it would be January 22 & 23, 2006, confirmed? |

Jonny, the Bar-B-Q dinner is going to be the evening of Monday Jan 23rd... There are a couple of local places(ft worth area) that are good that I can't remember the names of right now...The ride hasn't been nailed down yet, it'll either be the saturday or sunday before the ride although I'd bet on sunday... We can throw out a few more names of resturants the next few days and I"m sure we can decide on someplace and get it lined up... Well, did everyone have a good Christmas??? Did anybody get any Buell goodies??? Kevin |

Dago, Sounds good to me. Are you willing to head up this effort? That would be most appreciated. We need a place within a short drive of the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine that can handle a large group and that doesn't close too early. Despite having evolved into a successful chain of restaurants, Dickies is darn tough to beat in my experience. |

I'm always willing to help, Blake. But I'm sure the DF/W group as a whole will come up with something good. We're all in fairly constant contact with one another and will let you know. |

Should you accept the responsibility, you would be free to delegate and/or come to a decision any way you see fit. So, what do you say? |

Call me stubborn, but someone here, I cannot recall who, put out my name for the job of choosing the restaurant this year. So if someone else is going to step up and take on that task, I'd like to get a firm committment on it. If that be you, please step up and say so. If not, I'll continue on. |

Touchy, touchy, Blake. It's all you brotha! You asked for opinions. You got mine and didn't like it. You offered up the idea of me picking the place. I replied saying it would be a good idea to get a consensus from the DFW group and that this was already in the works (by way of a few emails I sent out). But you don't like this either. So I'm out. Go Dickies!!! (Or where ever else you decide is the most appropriate place for us to eat, Mr. BadWeather.) |

Christmas has proven that I can't comfortably feed more than 15 at a time in my house. But should it be decided you want it there, I'm sure we could make it work. No doubt, Dickies caters. |

Blake, the only person that suggested for you to decide what resturant we were going to eat at was YOU... We appreciate your help but I think we've got it covered...I'm sure we'll decide on a good place to eat and all have a good time... Kevin |

Great pics Micah! Blake, the emails are circulating and a decision will be made by the group in short order about where we'd all like to eat. Thanks for your suggestions as well. They too are being considered. |

Micah, the pics were good but I"m a bit worried. It looked like you and Elvis were a bit chummy... Anybody doing any riding this week??? I've got the week off but mainly doing some long put off chores... Although I'm thinking of riding to Garner (between Weatherford and Mineral Wells) to visit some friends... Kevin |

What can I say; I just had to get a pic with this guy. He rides in on a full dress, wearing a full dress leisure suit. LOL! This guy was too much. I have so many pics to process and post. You think when you spend $1200 on a camera and $500 in lenses you would spend a little time using the gear! No! Not Me! I drop $200 on Photoshop CS2 6 months ago and just now figure out how to automate a batch resize and save action. Thanks for nice words though! It will only encourage me to take more! Hmm like at this get together. Maybe I will get some good extortion material, hehehehe! |

Here's a quick poll I just put up to help us decide on a location: http://www.forthefew.com/default.aspx?p=BBQ All votes are anonymous. PM/email me with any new locations or if you have any of the data (phone, address, URL, etc) I'm missing on existing ones. |
