I just got my Buell, so I'm ready to ride! I'm out here in Madison, and just met a guy with Tenn. Valley Sport Bike Club. My name is Chris, I'd love to go riding with you, I just got my XB12R last week. |

Cool! I am not going to be in town this weekend, I'm going to the Indy race. But I think the next weekend is a go! Whereabouts are you in Madison? Inside the city limits? I am in Harvest. I will keep an eye out for you! Do you remember the guy you met from TVSC? |

I believe his name was Charlie, or Charles. I have his card at home. I'm right in the middle of Madison, been riding every day. We'll hook up and ride soon. |

Nylodrian, Charlie is a good guy, and a hell of a rider. He goes to many track days, and from what I understand, puts down some pretty impressive times! He goes to the dragon all the time too, usually a day trip on a Monday morning. One of these days (probably after a few track days) I'm going to make the trip with him. Odie, If we ever take a trip down to L.A. we will certainly get in touch with you! |

Odie, I'm gonna get the Spec Ops pipe sooooonn! Can you ceramic coat my headers too? I was thinking the silver headers with the silver Spec Ops pipe should look sweet on my black xb12r, then again black on black can't look bad either! |

Nylodrian, I'm just a guy modding pipes in his small shop. A few customers have sent their Special O.P.S. out to have them coated with great results. Very cheap and worthwhile in my opinion. Here's a pic of one in sterling silver. Later, Odie |

You folks are welcome to come hit the twisties with us. I know it is quite a hike from Montgomery and Fort Rucker. But we ride mainly on Sundays, and head up to Tennessee usually. I'm sure many folks would be interested in a Saturday ride as well. |

Ratyson, no I don't think so. I haven't been up that way in years. I ride a black '97 S3. |

Ara, I usually end up at Sonic on Thursday night at Madison Blvd and Wal Triana. I have been trying to get as many Buell riders up there as I can. So far it has been me, one other XB, and a blast has come through once or twice. Just checked out your profile, that is one nice looking bike. Ha.. and we share the same first name. |

I will be looking for riders when I get my new XB12X. Huntsville won't be too bad on it. Have a Blast now want something bigger for longer rides. I'll be getting it in Oct. so Dave, Ratyson and Odie we'll have to have a couple rides together. |

Buelltoys- congrats on the new bike! Someday all of us here in 'Bama do need to get together for a ride. I tried to make it to Talladaga for the March of Dimes ride this year but was way too busy. Went last year and had a good time. I know there is some good riding around Cheaha (sp?) Mountain. (Message edited by odie on September 19, 2005) |

Dothan told me no test rides on the XB12X unless ya buy it. hahahaha Triumph RAT Raid @ Deal's gap this weekend. Mike P et al: My brother and I will be up there again. I'll be on my green 955i Tiger and he'll be on his '68 T100C. We'll be at Fontana. If any of ya come up that way. DAve |

that's where I bought mine from! But won't let me take the one off of the showroom floor so have to wait until Oct. Mine is the first on the list. Exacly like it is on the floor. Brian |

Not surprising and I guess that attitude from a dealership offends me. (Thin skinned on some things) I'm seriously considering parting with my 955i Tiger for a Uly. DaveS in WI is an option as well Rocket in Huntsville and Stone Mtn in Atlanta. Cameron at Stone Mtn has 1 Uly and had me on it w/in 20 minutes demo riding unescorted. Then he tried to "twist my arm" and have me ride the XB12Ss but I decided to not tempt myself more. DAve (Message edited by dave on September 22, 2005) |

I was at Rocket in Huntsville just the other day. They had scores of Harleys and three Buells. No Ulys and no XB-long models. When I need a part for my '97 S3, whether it's a turn signal, rear fender, or even a consumable like brake pads, they *never* have the parts in stock and have to order them. Not impressive. |

Yeah, Rocket harley just doesn't stock any buell parts. And when you do need to order them it takes 2 weeks. I have decided that when I need something, I will just order it from somewhere else. I am absolutely not impressed with Rocked Harley's buell service. |

Where did you purchase your Buell from? I've spoke with sales at Rocket a few times and Buell is apparently a seldom word to them. From just phone calls, they seem to be very much into chrome. Sales has warmed up to selling me "the" Uly when they get their "one" in. I guess Buell allotment is based on past sales performance to some degree. With their current approach, it sounds like they will continue to get the absolute minimum of the Buell line. DAve |

I too believe that the "Uly" is given by past sales on other bikes. Dothan got their one in the last week of August and the other three come in Oct. Not sure if they have another shipment or not but I know they sell a good amount of buell there and I can't complain about the service department. You are right about the sales I don't think they let many people test ride on either the HD or the Buells. I deal with Freddy there. |

I know one of the HD dealers in B'ham is suppose to carry Buell but not been there to check out the service or bike selection. |

I bought my '97 new from Rider's H-D in B'ham, but they subsequently voluntarily gave up their Buell franchise. I was told that they were not happy with the way they were treated by Buell. I seem to recall that they later tried Buell again and gave it up yet again. |

True. Buell.com lists Rider's HD in B'ham but they don't carry the line nor stock any parts. I asked a salesman why they parted company with Buell and he told me Buells just won't sell around here. DAve |

Dave, If your question was for me, I got my XB9SX from Rocket Harley. At the time, they had about 10 or 15 buells in there. But now, it seems like they only have 2 or 3. |
