I contacted the owner at Hal's today about August 20th. I hope to hear back from him in a few days. He is a cool guy. (He has a very low milage S1 for sale by the way.) I can't see it being a problem. Why wouldn't a Buell dealership want a group of Buell enthusiasts gathering at the dealership?(whom I'm sure will wander inside the shop and browse and purchase things.) Jerry | ||

OK who else is gathering signatures? I'm going to get a bunch more at this months BRAG meeting. I know how to get everyone to attend now, just offer to have it at my house and have homemade chicken and noodles. I have the coolest wife! We usually get about 10-12 at the meetings, this month I have 30 signed up already and it's still a week away. You know how many noodles it takes to feed 30 people! I have friends in Brown Deer (a suburb of Milwaukee) that I think I could stay with. I'd love to get in on this. I'm not real big on H-D's 100th, but Buell's 20th sounds like a great reason to celebrate. Homecoming in '99 was almost a religious experience for me; this sounds like it might be another great one. Now, how do I sign a card? I don't belong to any BRAG group, but I am a member of BRAG and of ATC. Will ATC have their own card? | ||

man, that sounds like a great time, and its in my neck of the woods, i might have to make a point to get over there. i turn 21 on the 21st, so you guys better bring xtra beer money to help me celebrate. problem is, i have drill (marine reserves) starting on friday the 22nd, and its all weekend in the field, with rifle and pistol qual (expert, expert, thank you), but i have to go to the twin cities for it. might be a tight squeeze. definately have NOS on the bike by then, might be worth a chance to show off a little. its a long way off, ill keep checking to see what you guys are gonna offer. Spidey, 9 Months and counting.(gee, kind-a-like giving birth) What do you think we are going to need at Hal's on the 20th? The ride to East Troy is only 35 to 50 minutes depending on route and the pace. I was thinking to start gathering at Hal's at 9 a.m.ish and then heading out to East Troy about 11a.m. or noon. Show up in East Troy about 12 noon to 1 p.m. The presentation would probably be 15 to 30 minutes and then social time. I don't think we would want to interupt things in the middle of the week for more than an hour or so. After the presentation, us locals can show everybody some of the backroads that we like to tear up. I'm thinking we can arrange some sort of dinner possibly or at least a place to gather and bench race. I'm just thinking out loud. So tell me if I'm on the riht track or if you have other ideas. Man can you think of anything cooler than a couple hundred buells rolling up to the steps of East troy and seeing Erik Buell waiting to greet us? or just the fact that, that many bueller's are that enthusiastic about their bikes.... i am proud to be a buell owner!! |
