Hey Guys, I'm in charge of Brian's move but I'll be coming back down here to GOD'S country in the swamp.. Too much Street Racin' fun(not that I would ever participate-he he he) FJ, we did pill it till we killed it now it is time to just back it down one hair and go back racin'. I am thinkin' hard about coming out to American Sport Night, I spoke to Woz About it, I am gonna drive so I can bring the streettracker. I'll be out of pocket for a few days ya'll with this move, so I'll holler at ya'll when I get back-R.N. P.S. I look forward to meeting all of ya'll one day too, ya'll are welcome in my pit anytime!! |

So,Richard, when is the move planned? And when are you thinking of coming to ASBN so I make that meeting?I'd be suprised if there was no street racing in Colorado--you could find some fresh suckers.Especially after they way we were riding around Aaron's in sept. |

Quote:Frankly, give me a bike that's proved it's meddle, holds 9 Land Speed Records and makes the words "has been ridden" see nearly laughable.....
Aaron, I think Court is trying to tell us he wants to buy your bike. Court, we won't tell Vickie, she'll find out for herself when it gets there. |

re: the 0 miles RR - So when you ask the guy "is it fast" does he say "theoretically"???????? How's it handle? "Well, it felt really nimble unloading it from the crate." I mean, WTF, I'm supposed to spend 20 grand on a COFFEE TABLE!!!?? Aaron's RR should be in a museum because it's kicked a** and taken names, not just because it's an RR. It'd be worth the money, and should be preserved, because of it's history (not that I have the money). I feel bad for the guy, really, 'cause he never got a chance to see what that bike can do. And that's worth more than any potential profit on a sale. |

Hoot, Aaron's is bone stock and in mint condition He took it apart, put the original motor and bodywork in storage (along with a host of other original parts, I'm sure), and turned it into a race bike. Then when it was retired last year, he put it back together like it rolled off the showroom floor, right down to the color of the zipties. It's gorgeous. Now would I have the patience and foresight to do that? Maybe, probably, who can say. just seems a shame the RR on ebay never even got ridden around the block. |

There goes the neighborhood ! More details when time permits, but Aaron, Richard Nallin, Blake, I and a couple other "Elfly" individuals will be in Wisconsin on Friday November 8th. If you are within the Uke's area, we're going to be having (subject of course, to Bomber getting Uke to buy into the deal) a mini-Elf-Fest from 5:00pm to 6:30pm to allow the Windy City, Uke's and Wisconsin Team Elves supporters to listen to Richard drawl for ya'll. I am going to try to wrangle Pammy and Wes along as well...subject, of course, to reaching "The Queen". To all those good folks who quickly e-mailed me, get ahold of Bomber and see if he needs help with the arrangements. I can't wait ! Court |

Fireman Jim, I am planning on Dec.2nd. Brian and Leslie left today. The U-Haul would only run 60mph, and had an electronic throttle control system, I tried to bypass it but it would work, I bet him 50.00 I could catch and pass him with BIG MOMMA(37ft goose neck) on the Dodge!!! I am relatively confident since with the chip it would run 115mph with 6800lbs of meter runs on it. NASCAR ain't got nothin on them Nallin Boyz... P.S. I'm Bringin my Streetracker and LOTS of Nutec.. I love the smell of Nutec in the morning. RN |

Hoot, I'm thinkin' take the bodywork off and off to battletrax we go!!! Wouldn't rack up many miles on it that way. Of course, you'll want to break it in first. As for the 17K, I'll go halvesies on it with you. btw that's one yellow bike you got (check my profile) Philly |

Court, If Uke's won't do it let me know. I'll talk to the owner at Hal's if you'd like. This is exciting. We are closing on our home in the afternoon that day, but I'll make damn sure I'm there. If you or anyone else is flying in to Milwaukee or Chicago in the morning or Thursday night or whatever be sure and let everyone know we'll hook everybody up in style. Just in Brew City Brag alone we have a guy in the hotel biz, a gal in the accounting biz, a few computer geeks, an advertising guy, a few assorted nuts and bolts, I'm in the chemistry biz, and everything in between. Ohh I almost forgot MikeJ-I have never quite fiqured out what he does for a living, but we like having him around anyway.(hey that reminds me, doesn't MikeJ owe us some pictures?) Jerry P.S. So this is how you're going to get everyone together to sign posters huh. I'll take two, one for my new garage, and one to be framed. |

The best info I've been able to obtain (i.e. what Buell published) says 52 were made. The first (the red/white/blue proto, owned by John Mikosh) and the second (the H.O.G. owned/Tilley tuned Lucifer's Hammer II race bike) had no VIN is my understanding. The 3rd is owned by Devin Battley in Maryland, he told me it's VIN 1. Mine is VIN 50. According to my build sheet, it was completed on 4/15/88, and had one non-standard part, a Tsubaki chain. It is titled as an '87 however. 50 production bikes was the goal due to a homologation rule, and from reading old magazine articles (I think I have every one of'em on the bike), Erik literally had to obtain the last few engines from dealer stock to complete the 50. I don't know where this guy is coming up with 55 bikes, unless he's counting RW750's or something. DaveG, any info? |

In a late breaking development, it appears that the Elf Contingent traveling to Wisconsin has just added one more name to the group which, intial reports estimate should increase the average speed of those in attendance significantly. Too cool ! |

Wes attending is a very low probability. Pammy has obligations that will prevent her attendance, her daughter's wedding being on the 9th. Chuck apparently does not do air travel. |

All, I'm asking for your help. Every day for the past month or so I have received multiple emails laden with malevolent viral klez worm payloads. The modus operandi of this worm and its variants (the klez viruses) is to secretly send email bearing a hidden payload of itself to all entries in your MS Outlook address book. Why not just contact the sender of the virus laden email? Unfortunately, I cannot know who that might be. The klez worm sneakily disguises the infected computer user's/owner's identity by substituting their "from" email address/name with another email address/name randomly chosen from their address book or possibly other email. The subject of each email is also taken from other email documents found in the infected computer's files. The only way to put an end to the infection is for the owner/user of the infected computer to run a complete virus scan using an up to date data file... or... to recognize the following email addresses and/or subjects as being among those on his computer, in his Outlook files and manually clean his system of the infection. So if you recognize ANY of the following email names or email subject titles, PLEASE immediately run a full up to date virus scan on your hard drive and clean out any viral infections. "From" Email Addresses

And regardless, please remove my email address from your address book. My email address is blake@badweatherbikers.com . More info on the klez virus, how to detect it, and how to remove it can be found at the following trusted and reputable sites... http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.h@mm.html http://www3.ca.com/solutions/collateral.asp?CT=65&ID=1705 http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/klez_h.shtml That last link shows how the latest variant of klez, one of which was sent to me, might fool an ignorant victim into infecting his/her own computer. No, my computer was not infected. I screen and scan all email via netmail prior to download. Aything with an attachment form an unrecognized source gets trashed. I've been trashing these for over a month now. It is just getting old waiting for whover is infected to get on the ball and disinfect their computer. The subject emails never made it to my hard drive. Even if they did, anti virus software (Norton) would catch it and protect my computer. Anyone out there who is using email and surfing the web while not running an up to date anti virus program is begging for their computer to be infected. Please, if you are not running a current anti-virus application, please get one and do so immediately. You can download them from McKaffee or Symantec for a very reasonable fee. Thanks for your help. |

Vik, I haven't commented here or on SacBORG, because I don't want to be reminded of the fact that I may have to give up my X-1 at some point. If I had the resources, I'd buy a 98 S1 White Lightning, trade the plastics of my Blue X-1 for White X-1 plastics, and buy a new white Firebolt, to sit in the garage next to the other two. Crazy you say? I guess so. Still love the Buells, in spite of some rough edges on the early models. They do have soul. BTW, how much did you get for yours? It was nicely set up at the end, and the buyer is getting a fine machine. Jim X-2.5 |
