"Checks go to Jim Bantz..." - CC Yes folks, that part is true but PLEASE make them out to Team Elves. If you guys have any doubts about the impression that Team Elves is leaving on the world of land speed racing just watch the press over the next six months or ask Court Canfield. You know this all leading up to one undeniable question... "Will the package go 300mph or do we build a new bullet?" Ride Safe, JB2 |

The Memorial to Nolan White is located here. I'll tell you what, as you look at that, it extracts a sobering toll. I did not know him but the story tells it all, wonderful man, wonderful family and no one needs to tell me dear that man saw the entire experience of being alive. I am very sorry to see this. Thanks Woz for getting it to us quickly. http://www.ecta-lsr.com/memorial.htm |

Paul, we are definately stuck with each other(not that that's a bad thing). Wes never says a disparaging word to say about anyone(when he is serious anyway). Man am I ever going to have to pay for saying nice stuff about him, though. How big can you make doorways? I may have to grease his ears to get him in the house... |

Pammy, You need to update your profile. If you click on the link for the web page you get about 47 pop up adds. Not that I'm complaining (I always needs a new site for underaged teen voyeur videos) but the kids wonder why I'm trying to close the windows as fast as they open. Sorry I didn't make it by last week. I'll be by the shop next week. JT |

Although we released the new Sport Twin site only a couple of weeks ago, it has well over 300 registered users already! I have added a documentation section with some select how-to's, recall notices and service bulletins in .pdf format. This was something requested of alot on the old site. I have also added the color chart, recall matrix and paint formulas that were found on the old site. Is there any other information or items of interest you might like to see on the site? If so send an email to support@sporttwin.com. I would appreciate any input. Thanks, Brad G Sport Twin www.sporttwin.com |

A dealer has an M2 low on the floor, it is a 01 model. probably produced in 2000 because they have had it since late january 2001. They are pretty keen to move it but aren't offering much incentive with the extra cost of a race kit at present. I am just wondering what are the magor differences with an M2 low over a normal M2? Are they very difficult to convert to standard suspension travel? What updates should have been performed on this bike? Also it is volcano grey with a black frame, maybe another reason why they haven't been able to sell it? |

Bomber, After you get her the pc look into getting a couple of web cams. My daughter has been off to Iowa State since last year and I was going to do that last summer until our pc died and I never got around to it. She keeps IM'ing me and I think it would be pretty cool to go the video conference route. |

Dazz, the differences are the M2 low is missing some suspension travel and about 1" of overall seat height. It's more trouble than it's worth to convert it to a standard M2. Look online and through the local cycletrader and papers...I'm sure you can find a used M2 for a whole lot less than your dealer is offering. |

Daz - As far as I know there have been no updates for the 01 M2. As far as major differences, placing my 01 M2 next to my friend's 02 M2Low, the only thing noticable (to our untrained, slightly 'beered' eyes,) was that his seat was a bit lower. Also, his seat was QUITE A BIT HARDER. Now, for a terrible confession: Until reeding all the good news from the previous posts over the last few days, I never knew if it was Elves as in "Snow White" or Elves as in "Presley." Now I know it's Elves as in "Over 200mph"! |

Additional suggestion for purchasing stuff: go to the Team Elves site, download the registration forms we used for this years event. Fill out the appropriate information (obviously Elf Chow is of less importance now) and mail with check to Jim or I guess you can fax it to Court as well. The RR wall paper is up as well, along with summaries of the reports from the 19th & 20th. Oh, and a few pictures of our boy Richard Henrik |

"Nebueller" asks when the next Maxton event is. It's this coming weekend, Oct. 26th, 27th & we'd sure welcome any of you who can make it! There's going to be a party when the Sportster List Race Team takes the ECTA Championship! Buell rider & record-holder Paul Batts (156 mph) will surely be there & there's a couple of "Blast" bikes which come, one of which holds a record we'll take back! The Sportster List Race Team will be there with 2 bikes - a 1350cc & a 1650cc + affiliated teams will be there too, in other classes. Come & join us - the records will fall like dominoes & if Carl's Speed Shop shows up again, we'll outrun them in whatever class they enter! Hey, Bueller's, Sportsters are pretty fast too! We're in 1st place in the points, with a Hyabusa team breathing down our necks & the points race is tight! How 'bout a 180 mph Sportster, running naked on gasoline? Takes a fairing for y'all to beat that! C'mon down if you can, you'll be more than welcome! - Art. |

I managed to bend my front wheel today, a Marchasini that came on my S1. Are there any other bikes that come with this wheel? The left side of the rim is bent out maybe ¼”, any chance of a repair? This is also posted in the KV. |

Roc, A little further up the Rain Forest, You'll find Wheel Masters. (Just out of Tacoma) This guy can fix any wheel. I had a a PM wheel fixed and it was about 1/2" out. I also had Matt Woods Ducati wheel fixed there for about $100 bux each. Do you still need the Turbo part Tig welded? If so you can drop it by on your way to the wheel Master. IaMike during the first 35 nanoseconds of reading your post, I thought I'd gone to Sacborg . . . suggesting my college-bound daughter get a web cam! Luckily, my thus-far-non-caffinated eyes continued down the page, and now I understand . . . .thanks for the tip, sir . . . that's a great idea! |

Everything is all healed up nicely. Bike is home & I am cleaning it up & inspecting what needs replacing. Damage is suprisingly minimal. Job is going good. Might have another offer tho. I applied & took tests & interviews a few months back for correctional officer, well the detective just called me & my name is up on the list now. Just gotta get thru the background check. No felonys at least, just a couple of minor misdemeanors yrs ago. |

Haven't you heard??!! Next year at Bonneville Team Elves will be sending a naked (pronounced nekkid in TX) Ferris Bueller down the salt at ballistic velocities. Your record is as good as gone. Seriously though, do you really want Aaron to remove fairing and challenge that record? Probably not a wise thing if you value your record. Blake (tryingtostirupsomefriendlycompetition) |

might be a stretch in the gas class as it is built now, definitely in the fuel class tho! Aaron, why not an unfaired attempt? Wind would probably beat the hell out of Richard at that speed. I wonder how much speed would be lost from that faired 188 gas run. |

Its a county jail not Joliet. I am looking at the benefit package & its sweet. Awesome retirement deal also. Plus who knows, maybe use it as a start to an entirely different field of work. Maybe become a rookie cop at the tender age of 45 Gotta get thru the background check first tho. Never know how that will turn out. |
