Anybody see this?? http://www.longwayround.com/lwr.php I was absolutely riveted. Seriously. KTM missed out BIG time. But I would have LOVED to have seen at least ONE of those bikes be a Buell with knobbies. If you haven't seen it, make it a point to catch it. DEFINITELY worth it. |

Yeah, great DVD, especially if you didn't catch the original show series. My wife and I watched for 5 hours 'til 3am, then got up next morning at 8am to watch the rest of the DVD set, sipping strong coffee. We were definitely moto-mezmerized... we got on our Beemers and rode the rest of the day! If only the Ulysses had been around as 3rd bike option! |

I just finished watching that on DVD yesterday. MAN, that was a great show. I wondered too how the Ulysees would fare in such a tour, although they Uly isn't really designed for a lot of the riding they did. there's supposed to be a 10 hour special DVD of the series to be released early next year. |

I asked for it for XMAS so hopefully I will get the DVD set. I caught a couple episodes when it was on and it was great. I think someone should do something like that on a Buell. That would be awesome. |

There is a special DVD. I think it's already out in the UK. The book's worth reading too. Rocket |

I've ordered the DVD set that is going to be released on 13 Dec but now that I look at the LWA homepage I see that Canada is getting the 10 episode version! Are DVD's that are released in Canada region 1 encoded also? If so, I'd like to get a copy of that version. |

Disregard my question. I found out that the encoding is the same so I went to www.amazon.ca and ordered it from there. So if anyone else wants the complete 10 episode set that what I'd recommend that you do. |

Ray, Thanks for the heads-up on this. Just put the DVD set on my Christmas wish list. Hey! Another aircraft stress man! Cool. Welcome. Steve (Thesmaz), The entire uncut ten episode set consists of just two DVDs.

Worldwide DVD Releases: Australia - 10 Episode released 13th November 2005 Canada - 10 Episode released November/ December 2005 New Zealand - 7 Episode DVD currently available. 10 Episode DVD released November 2005 South Africa - 10 Episode DVD released 9th January 2006 USA - 7 Episode DVD released 13th December 2005 I'll let you know what all is in the package after I recieve it. |

Hmmmm... In reading the text at the bottom of the above picture from www.amazon.com, which is the same exact picture that www.amazon.ca also displays, I see... 2 DISK SET THE COMPLETE UNCUT SERIES WITH BONUS FEATURES So somewhere the information is incorrect as it is conflicting. |

Could this be the hitch... The LWA site in small print shows a "Copyright © 2004" Maybe preliminary/old information? The "ASIN" numbers, whatever that is, are different between the two though. Amazon.com list the DVD as 400 minutes and the editor's review says " The following review on Amazon.com makes it sound like the Canada version is the same 7-episode one... quote:24 of 24 people found the following review helpful: This is only the 7 episode version. 10 episode version on the horizon later in 2006., November 17, 2005 Reviewer: La Maquina (Utility Muffin Research Kitchen, USA) - See all my reviews I love this show and highly recommend it to pretty much everyone who has the travelling bug. I would have given it 5 stars based on the merits of the show alone...EXCEPT saying that this is "uncut" is misleading. In fact, the DVD producers will be "double-dipping" later in 2006. It is important to note that they released a longer special edition of this show on DVD in the UK last week. So now there are actually 10 extended episodes of this show that are available as a three disc set everywhere else in the world except North America at this point in time. The region one disc being released in North America in December 2005 only has 7 episodes (on two discs). They are planning to release this 10 episode version later in 2006. If this doesn't faze you, and you need to get this NOW then I still think you'll enjoy the heck out of the 7 episode version. However, if you can hold out for the 10 episode version (or buy the PAL version from Amazon UK), then I'd strongly advise you to do that instead. Consider this fair warning!
What a bunch of marketing crap! |

Blake, I agree and noticed the same thing you did with the pics; I just figured that amazon was using the same pic for both sites. I'll be really curious to find out how many discs are in the Canadian version and I'll post here after it arrives. |

Wasn't too impressed with the book but perhaps the movie does the journey better justice. In any case, a pretty gutsy go around the world although I'm not sure I'd want someone with a camera up my butt for 6 months... |

I received my copy that I ordered from amazon.ca (Canadian website) and it is the 3 disc set instead of the 2 Disc US version. I'll be looking forward to watching it over the winter! |
