Put oil in the bike now when I start it I hear a sound that sounds like a machine gun. and it wont start. Is there a certain way to put the pump on that I missed? |

That sound would be of your starter not spinning right. Happens on a bad battery, which you already figured out. |

After riding around I found that I still have the leak... Pisses me off. I put pipe thread on all the lines this leak looks like its comming from where it was crimped around the inside of the the oil line that goes to the cooler. Any suggestions? I want to fix this crap and put tons of miles on my bike. BTW I'm running vavoline syntec 20/50 now (Message edited by isham on November 23, 2005) |

I had a troublesome leak that took the dealership 4 visits to "fix". Upon further inspection at home, I noticed that the leak was actually being caused by a hairline fracture in the plastic top of the oil pressure sending unit (not sure if that's what the part is or not, but that's what I think it is, it has a single black connector hooked to the top of it.) Brought it to the dealer's attention, they replaced, no more leak. Something to look at maybe... |
