Anyone out there know what this means? "Extended warranty on new, previously untitled 2005 and 2006 Buell® motorcycles purchased and delivered Nov. 1 - March 31, 2006. See your dealer for details. " I lifted it from the Buell website. Does this mean you'll get an extended warranty if you take delivery between the referenced dates? I called my dealer and he knew nothing about it. |

Yes, If you buy a bike today, normally your warranty would end on Nov 9th 2007 With this program you would have warranty until March 31st of 2008 Tell your dealer to check his fax mach and HDnet once in awhile |

Cool! So they are giving you a few extra months if you buy your bike during the cold months. That's really nice! Thanks! |

Yep, but the dealer has to do some paperwork, it's not automatic. Make sure they do it. |

Just talked to the sales manager at my dealership and he said the extended warranty would be "automatic". It's not a very big deal, but I hate to loose something that's free just because an "i" didn't get dotted or a "t" didn't get crossed. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Kinda blows for those of us that bought in October... |

I don't think it's that big of a deal Dmcutter. It appears to just extend the warranty 3 months and not an "Extended Warranty" I don't blame Chadhargris on ensuring he gets the extra 3 months though. DAve |

From what I understand, it extends it till March 31 following the date you got your bike (would suck if you bought it in March!). See Daves' example above. If you bought on Nov 1, you would get 5 months extra warranty (if my math is correct). Again, not a big deal, but hey, it's free and I know a LOT of people who take the bike to the shop and find out it's three days past the warranty. |

"Kinda blows for those of us that bought in October..." Dude. You're riding a(n?) Ulysses. I'm not. I'll trade you my warranty extension for the use of your bike for the next four months. Steve Gear up! |

Sorry, Steve, no deal. But my dealer does have 2 orange ones if you want to come down to NC. I guess I should just be glad that it's 24 month unlimited mileage. |

the extended warranty is "automatic". i work at a buell dealership and just checked the warranty info on 2 xb12x's. i bought mine on 10/28/05 but waited till 11/03/05 to submit warranty info. my warranty still expires on 10/28/07. the other uly was bought on 11/03/05 and his warranty expires 3/31/08. i did not have to fill out any additional paperwork. |

Excellent! Then my dealer isn't pulling my chain. Glad to know. I love this place! Makes me feel better. I've had so many bad dealer experiences (both car and motorcycle) that I'm gun shy. Too bad a few bad shops have to make me skeptical of the rest. |
