Well on my way home last night "The Girl and I" were having a chat and she wanted to know what her name was? I said Sweet Pea! (Mike didn't have much to say- so now when he rides my bike he'll be on Sweet Pea!) Bob- Did I mention My Bike is SOOOO COOL! Deb- for a screen name you just need to name your bike and then use that? So what is your bikes name? Up early to work so I better get to it. Kimberlie pps..... My BIKE IS SOOOOO Cool, Oooopsie I already mentioned that HUH! |

Kim, I think Sweet Pea is a perfect name for the bike. Maybe even a vanity license plate. Flog her for sure, but be careful. Things happen quickly with that much power.

Well just finished installing a clutch reduction kit on sweet pea. The things you have to do to keep the misses happy. Bob I think Deb should call her bike the blue baller. Eric give me a ring so we can meet and exchange a plaque for a look at that magazine pics. Mike |

I'll let the turncoats explain... hmmmmmm, wonder how it'll go over when Ferris (the Turncoat) rides up on his shiny red '98 Honda VFR Interceptor........ not to worry, Galen, i've caught the scent of the new Lightning (think of that scene with Rae Dawn Chong in Quest for Fire), and hope to be back on a Buell in time for SuperSPLASH FB |

Debbie,Bob & Mike - I enjoyed ridding with the three of you through the hills of Colorado and hope I get the chance to ride with you soon. I'm looking forward to the upcoming International Motorcycle Show at the San Mateo Expo. on Nov. 10. I'll check out the Triumphs but I cant seem to shake this hankerin' for one of those high powered Ural hacks and I think this might be the year of my Defection to the Other Side. Bob will you please tell me again what the name of that street sweeper rear tire is? Thanks - Nykk |

I changed the oil in the RS for the second time last night and it’s easier than the M2 but somehow less fulfilling. Lying on a cement floor while sticking your fist into a very small space surrounded by hot pieces of stainless steel and aluminum, all with sharp edges, and deliberately unscrewing things until boiling oil dribbles down your arm is never actually going to be fun but this wasn’t too bad. I didn’t have to remove the muffler and I didn’t have to pack $2.00 worth of paper towels around the oil filter to keep oil from draining onto the voltage regulator. I didn’t have to put two different kinds of new oil into two separate places, one of which is a huge vertical hole in the left, or “downhill,” side of the engine, and the other being pretty much right over the top of the rear tire. Just to make the whole exercise seem properly Buellish though, I took a few extra minutes to bathe the rear of the bike in chain oil.
