DAMNIT DYNA! You beat me to it. PC problems kept me off the net most of yesterday, thus preventing me from starting this thread. We were thinking the same thing at the same time. (scary) Anyway, Later today I'm going to send out an email to everyone I have addresses for about this site and particulary this thread. I think it will be an easier way to post quick messages than using e-mail and telephone. hopefully most will use it... |

Uke's Club meets at 6:30pm on the last Tuesday of every month at the I-94 store. We are a new club who just celebrated their first anniversary. There is no typical member, we are a very diverse group. Our only membership requirement is an active national BRAG status. Nearly all of our members have taken some type of rider safety training. (Riders Edge, MSF, Etc.) This trait of community and safe motorcycling is ever present in our club rides. Meetings are usually short and largely consist of recent happenings and discussion on where to go for a ride that night. Newcomers should be prepared to meet a bunch a very friendly folks at their first meeting. Any comments / inquiries can be sent to the club email account at: ubrag@yahoo.com ride safe, Joe Broz |

I'm just not a big poster. I usually check this site every day for new messages. RIDE ALERT: Slimey Crud Motorcycle Gang Run and Bike Show. October 6th, 2002 (Sunday) Pine Bluff to Leland. Details with time, route, and other sundries are in the works. I hear the Slimey Crud Run (SCR) is fantastic way to spend a Fall Sunday on a motorcycle. And you know there's no better way to show up than in a pack of growling Buell's... |

Tell ya what gang.........you are a special Buell Owners Group. In the days when all of us Buell owners in the United States could ride to lunch in the same station wagon, Keith Ulicki was right there leading the cheers. I've got lots of pictures (actually, they belong to John & Janice Mikosh) from the owner's gatherings in the days when most the bikes present were RR's. Ask Keith about the day he went for the little ride in the rain on the way back from Road America with Harry Worth and Co. All the best to you, Court |

Harry shows up every now & then. Attends all of the open house events keith puts on. He was at the Buell homecoming a few weeks back on a new 883 sporty, the one with the flattracker paint scheme. I am positive its not anywhere near stock tho, had a big assed monster tach in place of the speedo & sounded pretty healthy. |

Thank you Court. We are still feeling out our history which as you mentioned actually goes back quite a bit beyond last year. Keith is doing very well and is in the process of building a HUGE new building next to the current location off of the interstate. (I'm not kidding, it's monstrous) John is our Assistant Director and Janis is still running strong. (Johnny dosen't use the net so I keep him posted with printouts when necessary) I would love to see some of those old photos. Post them here if you like. The next few posts will probably be my mistakes trying to attach pic's. I just sent an email to the group letting them know this spot exists. It'll take a few before everyone warms up to using the BBS. ride safe, Joe |

Yeah, Definately looking forward to the KTM bikes. A duke II is welcome in my stable anytime. Apparently, I cannot post any pic's. They are all too large and I cannot download any software at work. (IT security firewall stuff) I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Don also has a bunch a pic's. He's not on the BBS yet. soon, soon. Gotta start working now, Later. Joe |

Joe: Get permission from John and I'll post a couple of the old pics. Better yet, I'll call him tonight, we need to talk anyway. You "Heritage" goes back a good 12 years before the S-1 Lightning AND plays a pivotal role in the fact that Buell is here today. Many dealers have flung "they just run up to the factory and get what they want" arrows at Uke, but, trust me, in the history of Buell, there's been as much "pro quo" as there has "quid". I slept on Keith and Nancy's couch many nights, following LONG Friday night blasts to IL to take potential Buell owners riding on Saturdays. Great people, honest and forthright, the entire lot of them. Court |

Hi ! This message board is awesome, now I can see what goes on with this group ! I came to the meeting last Tuesday in July, we rode over to the Hog's Nest afterwards. I forget names, but there was a couple who led me back to the road I needed to be on to get home, thanks ! I missed this past Tuesday, had something else going on, but this appears to be a great group. It would be fun if you guys could post some rides and meeting places?? Anyway Hello All, Ride Safe, CJM |

I dont usually attend any meetings. Hell I made the first couple & then life got busy. I don't even attend my HOG chapter meetings anymore, but I still go on rides. Anyways I am out & about all the time. Anyone ever want to go for a ride to no place in particular post it here. I hate planning rides, usually mine are just jump on & ride till I feel like stopping. |

Greetings all! A special "Hello" to Court. He's the man who helped me get that Buell bicycle article off the ground. Hey Joe, thanks for spearheading the push to get the Uke's club on this board. Believe it or not, I was part of the original Bad Weather Bikers email list - back when it was nothing more than a gang email list we sent to each other discussing Buells. Now it's too big for me to keep up with! Anyway, when should we plan the Uke's Club BBQ? I'll check in more often. Don |

Joe & anyone else who actually belongs to Ukes club. Why is there no adverstising of events or rides for this club? I know Eva said she was gonna be mailing out something to all the local Buell owners, yet I never received anything. I have talked to a few other local Buell owners & they are pretty much in the same boat. It seems as if you're not in the clique already, then you have no idea whats going on. How many active members is the club composed of at this time? Im not knocking it at all, dont get me wrong. I would like to see it expand & grow, it just seems as if right now its a small secret clandestine club & no outsiders are allowed. Look at Battletrax, 5 event series that I loved the hell out of & how many from Ukes participated? Me & you, & I think you made 3 events. Where was everyone else? Did they not know about the series? Did they not care? |
