Hi, Has any one an opinion on reusing the old WP shock that was recalled years back. I have an S2 and would like to reuse the old WP exposed shock. Was thinking about having it serviced, but unsure about the eye mount breaking which I have been told about. Thanks | ||

I have been using mine for about 2yrs. So far all is good. I was told the 2 up is what you need to avoid. Scott | ||

I spoke with WP about three years ago and they said it would be simple to return the shock to them and replace the shock eye with one from a beefier shock off a crosser or something. I have the X1 arm fitted to my S1W so the original WP is too long or short, I forget which, but one day I hope to lay my hands on the original WP and attempt to make it fit, with a strengthened eye of course.
