Jim, Actually my Cyclone is a '99, and all '99+ Buells (except Blast) have T-storm heads. I'd love to tell you about the gains in power but to be honest I just got the cam job finished on Friday and I haven't had a chance to really thrash the bike yet. I expect the bike to make about the same power as an X1/S3 with a slip on since I essentially have the same motor now (sans FI). Mike L. '99 Cyclone |

Jim, I used engine paint from Auotzone(four bucks a can) on the covers and header paint on the header.I can't afford powder coating. It's only been about a month so I don't know how it's going to hold up. |

Hey Pat Mullaney, I remember your bike when it was almost stock. It's looking pretty good now. It's looking absolutely spotless too (as usual). You just can't stop tinkering with it, can you? Danny |

Danny, Tinkering with it is almost as fun as riding it.Unless your on the side of the road, luckily when my stator and battery fried I was in my driveway. So it's never left me stranded. You need to come riding with the gang again sometime,we got our picture in the new FUELL magazine (not a great shot) but its cool! Pat |

Spiderman, Neon rim striping from Tapeworks. It is a real pain to apply, but I like the look. There is a pic from the side in my profile. Jeff |

It is just a pain to get it on straight. With painted rims you can draw a line with a pencil and then have a line to follow. With the non painted rims, the pencil wouldn't mark. The reflection on the rim makes it really hard to keep it straight as you go around. It took me about 20 minutes per rim stripe applying it about a quarter inch at a time. Then again, they give you five stripes so in case you mess up you have an extra. |

Picture of ARA's '97 S3 with home grown countershaft cover and belt guard. Unfortunately, the home made rear brake pedal is hidden by foot peg.

I finally installed the black primary cover, and this time I took before and after pictures. This is a common sight at my apartment: Before: After: Mike L. '99 Cyclone |

Mike L. I had a buddy powder coat the Buell covers for me in wrinkle black with the white pegasus, looks better than chrome if you ask me. Chrome looks out of place on the black cases. Justin |

Wow, that looks great! Justin, if you don't mind my asking, what did the powder-coating run you? (Ballpark figure would work for me.) Thanks- Brad |

Brad He did the two covers in wrinkle and my pushrod cover retainers in dull black for around $50.00. He also hand brushed the white in the pegasus, tried a trick to coat them as well but failed, area was too small. I think they're the cats nuts. Justin |

Thanks for the comments guys;-) Bcdaum, Those are AFAM aluminium motocross bars and they have been anodised black.. It's also a problem with clearance to the fork adjustment (no problem on the S1) when fitting it on an M2. This was solved with a little local trimming to the bar. It's about 7mm of material and I trimmed away approx 3mm to get the clearance. I also removed the typical "across-bar"! Turnagain, Unfortunately the fullsize pics are not that good (out of focus). I'll repost pics next week and if I forget to post the pics to you, please remind me! /Jonas |

Tavs, Sorry for the late reply.. The setup is from a Gilera DNA (feels a bit odd to admit that) and it was a walk in the park to fit this to the bike! It also works well, improved airflow (not as turbulent) and good a light (H4 55/65W). I guess it gives the bike a slightly more agressive/modern appearence! Taste though, is very subjective;-) /Jonas |
