OK Kids..!!..Let's start posting 'dem pictures of Laguna..!!!.... I just wanted to thank the INCREDIBLE crowd of people we got to hang with at this event!!Speaking (at the least for myself),once again I felt justifiably proud to be associated with some of the BEST people on the planet! EVERYONE helped out with trips to the store, trips to concessions for ice, generous donations for food and drink, labor for cooking and cleaning and I could go on and on....but I won't(yet)...so let's see some pictures while I'm attempting to get through my first day back at work in a week thinking about NEXT YEAR!! |

Hey all you Moto GP and Buell brothers and Sisters, Just wanted to say "Thanks" for all the comraderie and fun provided and shared by all at the infamous "Love Shack" It was, once again, a weekend + to remember for sure! The ride down the coast hiway was beautiful, but I wish we had had time for more of that action ;> It was really great to hook up with friends from last year and to make some new ones. I have got to hand it to Jerry J and Ebear for doing a ton of behind the scenes work to make this happen for us all. You have no idea how much prep. has to be done to make things work out so well. not to mention the fuel cost of just getting "The Love Shack" there and back home again. These guys are the "True Hero's" in my book !! And a couple great guy's to boot. You Guys ROCK !! thanks again, Tbear |

I can't say it as well as it's already been said, except that the Love Shack is a bit of motorcycle heaven. Great to see everybody, new and old friends. And thank you very much for sharing. |

Scott something big was ramping up at the Fin just as they were closing. Private area with security and some moto who's-who's starting to show up but I'm sure nothing big happened until the public was ushered out the door. We couldn't hang and headed out after last call. |

Scott, we hung at the Blue Fin 'til last call (thanks for your company!), smoking our stogies out on the veranda, watching the truly beautiful blithely pass security (which i had tried and failed) and finally i couldn't keep my eyes open any longer (reasonable, considering that i normally get up and start my work day at about this time...) no Nicky, bummer, but like Glenn said it's a safe assumption that he was on his way. saw several media types, rubbed shoulders with Ben Spies for a bit, actually spoke with Revvin' Kevin (got a great photo, can't wait to post it), but no Nicky. that's ok, what i REALLY wanted to see happened at the track on Sunday afternoon. Denise and i watched SPEED's repeat telecast of the race this morning, and seeing Nicky's emotions on the bike and off the bike after the race brought tears to my eyes. ladies and gents, it was a weekend for the ages, and i echo everyone else's semtiments above. THANK YOU to all for working so hard, having so much fun, and for making it all so special. pix as soon as my card reader shows up in the mail... FB&D |

Glen, You are a good player...practice makes perfect. U had some good shots. Yeah...I would have had a better time if I didn't have to drive back to my luxury suite at the fashionable Motel 6, LOL. But the time I had with U'all was great! Thanks for walking me back to get my helmet. When I left on Monday at 8 AM, and all the way back to LA, I hardly ever rode alone. Lots of bikes on the highway. I even stopped in SB for lunch with a friend and at 2:30pm bikes were still heading south on the 101. And the fog never lifted til around noon, so that kept the CHP planes on the ground. We did the flying...80 to 90 all the time. I have been in a lot of car clubs over the years, but nothing beats the people I have met riding. Glad U could make it down from B'field. See you, Ferris, Denise and the rest of the gang at Oktoberfast! |

Mrs Sandblast here. Just wanted to say thanks so much for a super terrific weekend at Laguna Seca!!! Met lots of great people (many of who I felt I'd known forever due to the fact that my husband lives on the badweb), drank some (okay lots) of cold beer and saw some unbelievable racing from the Love Shack. Special thanks to Jerry Johnson and EBear for all their hard work in making it a great camping experience and to Jen for feeding everyone every morning!!! Looking forward to next year. PS...thanks Jerry for the helmet loan!!!! |

THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU !!!! Speaking for Jerry and myself we REALLY appreciate the kind words and Kudos for the work (and money)we put in all year to make this happen!By September each year I have to come up with $1400.00 to keep our spots going and fortunately Jerry helps with this each and every year.HOWEVER unless your an attendee of our monthly meetings you probably don't know that there is one more CRUCIAL piece to this puzzle!AMERICAN SPORT BIKE!! American Sport Bike is the one that brings raffle prizes from their own stock and collects raffle prizes from Biggs HD and Buell of Oceanside for our monthly 50/50.Without these prizes the club wouldn't have a mechanism to earn money to pay me back for our Corkscrew view spots.Along with these great prizes the company(American Sport Bike)pays up front for a spot so as to relieve me of this expense. The other spot has been paid for by a sponsor of JJ's in the past years also.I wish to thank Al and Joanne for their continued support and hope that you, too, will see that they get their just due. THANX AGAIN for the mention and I hope to see ALL of you plus MORE for next years SECA MADNESS..!!

Thank YOU, Ebear, for all the work you do to get the spots and keep us in good graces with Mary at SCRAMP. Ebear lobbied heavily for changes to the original plans that would have made our spot not as nice as it is. He couldn't QUITE get them to dig the tunnel instead of moving the bridge, but I'm sure they heard him. Maybe next year.... Overall, I'm pleased with the changes our spots got. Yea, we lost a bit of view of the drop in from the corkscrew, but they were pretty far away at that point anyway. But now we get an unimpeded view of ALL of Rainey curve and the drive out of that corner to the next corner. Our position is a little better than before to be able to see not only to the next corner but even turn 2 in the far distance. July 23 for next year everyone..start making plans NOW!!! Al |

was enjoying the show 'til the last pic, 'bout snorted perfectly good Irish Cream out my nose! EBear (and all), it was a weekend to remember. i'm STILL not done partying and it's been almost two weeks! we will ALL remember where we were when Nicky took his first MotoGP win, and for Colin to cover his back and make it an American one-two, well, if you're an American it doesn't get much better. saw the interview on TWT by Greg White of Valentino Rossi. plenty of inane questions (White is no Dave Despain...but who is???), but Rossi was superb. you just gotta love the guy. not only is he a ridin' robot but he's as charming, polite, and courteous as they come, and it always looks like he's having the time of his life, to boot. still, Nicky showed some big ones at Laguna. the rest of the season won't be easy -- the expectations on him (which were fairly stratospheric before) have certainly ramped up, but now he KNOWS he can do it, and it's gonna be fun to see what he does with that knowledge. thanks to all who hang around this great place for making Laguna such a great place to hang around. it was indeed a treat to whip out a couple of camp chairs on Sunday and bask on the Love Shack veranda -- thanks Jerry Johnson, EBear, and all the rest of you frikkin' Hooligans. ride to lean, Ferris & Denise ps: thanks to all concerned for the escort on the fan lap, that was fun. me 'n D are already making plans for next year... |

Jerry, Ur assessment of the Greg White interview of Rossi is right on...inane questions. Maybe that's why he is now on for only 1/2 hour instead of one hour? Who could not like Rossi? I loved his assessment of California..."the girls". I could not think of spending my annual vacation with any better group of people. My co-workers at work just do not understand. It has become one huge family reunion! This year was the best! But, don't we say that about every year? Yet, with a US win for the GP, it just may be the best ever. Win or no win for the US, the best is really who makes it the best...all my friends. And for them, I can say, another year was the best ever, spent with my friends! Oktoberfast, here I come. New tires, here I come! |
