Who'd a thunk Shred knew how to make purty babies? Glitch you should give credit where it is due. If he's a "purty baby" as you say, I think Shelly is the one who's responsible for that one. Just F-n with ya Shred-daddy! Congrats to you and Shelly! And yall should post a picture or two (Message edited by lightnindave on October 23, 2005) (Message edited by lightnindave on October 23, 2005) |

The baby is actually quite purdy! B_A and I stopped by to say hello and welcome the munchkin' to the madness. Between him and my brothers (on the way) baby I am gonna have a great time shaping two future A.M.A. champions!! |

Frank......I would love to go but I have a two day conference starting tomorrow! Well, I finished the hand guards. Not bad if I say so myself. Gotta smooth out the tabs that fit into the bar end but other than that it was a success. It should get me through the cold months. The pics don't do it justice. Well, you did a good job with them, but I still don't like that look. Hopefully, they will be functional for you though. Good job. Well, I can't make the party this week. You all have a blast without me. |

New12R: We tried the hand guards on a Firebolt already. No dice. The guards hit the fairing. Unless you don't actually need to turn anywhere. Then you're good. |

Doesn't fragile CF defeat the purpose of hand guards? I think the CityX would look super cool with some drilled metal guards with maybe small CF inserts. That and a bash plate would be very very cool. |

Tb....Hardly fragile, it just depends on how you lay it up. My bike fell off the stand when I was working on it in the garage and fell directly on my CF frame puck. Hardly a scratch. |

BS (your name, not my opinion of your post ), your frame puck has substance behind it the hand guard doesn't. If the CF guard were to hit a mirror its going to break. That being said the CF bellypan on my Beemer hasn't cracked from anything my front tire has chucked at it. I haven't gone down gravel roads but still its been relatively sturdy. Perhaps we should defer to Dr. Frankenstein, so could your CF guards take a car mirror smack at city speed and survive? (Message edited by tbs_stunta on October 25, 2005) |

Your probably right but I'm only concerned with wind deflection and hopefully I won't be hitting any cars any time soon to find out. |
