First chance I've had to post re Border Raid... had a super fantastic time! 902miles home to home according to Mr Garmin. Top speed only 102 mph though! It was great meeting so many new folks! Special shout outs (as the kids say) to: Mike and Kim of course, thanks for letting me be a 3rd wheel and taking the chance at sis's in Seattle!. Bob and Debbie, for the hospitality Friday night and fun and amusement throughout!. Stu and Deeley's for hosting and letting us Brit bikes participate. Also, Chuck, Theresa, Chris, Lonnie, Mike, Ray, nice to meet you all. Galen, don't ever scare me like that again! Okay, so it wasn't really you that actually scared me, but the folks who I saw staring over that cliff as I came flying around that curve! I thought for sure someone had taken a plunge. (Glad you're okay, man). Bunch of folks I should mention by name, but it was great meeting everyone and I am looking forward to about 360 days from now!!! Regards, Eric |

Saturday~ Gotta firm up with my "co-worker flakey BMW crew". Most likely 8am-ish meet. Maybe a good meeting place is DTH/Tukwilla? Dreull describes the oil on my leg because I don't have an oil catch yet. Getting used to the oil burping. Got my new 2001 ST3 June 21st, flew down to Las Vegas (last place with color and style) Road it back. then a month ago inleft hand turn only light. A city truck behind me takes a right on a red, RIGHT over me. $5000 in parts. Just got it back and no, not even a scratch on me. Ride buddies from work GSXR1100, Kawasaki 1300?new, BMW R1100 x2, and a goldblob that can't keep up. Hope we have a good Beull showing. john |

Flake City.... My co-worker flakey BM'r crew has completely doinked me. What do you guys think about a Sunday ride instead of a Saturday. Apparently 3 out of 4 wives think Sunday is best for their husbands... Mine says ride whenever, but then again she's cool. Druell |

Either or is usually good - but I have to snipe some leather pants off E-bay Sunday, 1130am. If you still want to ride on Saturday, looks like there are a few of us here that won't punk you out Dan |

S1blackie- Did I mention I would look cool on a speed triple, because Bob didn't! (funny he only mentioned the other brit bike) Talked to Mike tonight (he's working out of town) and asked him when he is getting a new bike because I want mine, the Speed 3 that is. Such a different ride, you sit in the bike instead of on top of it like mine. It is so smooth! Single Momma this week, Kimberlie ps.... talked to Matt and it sounds like they are all settled in down in Cali- he doesn't have his computer hooked up yet, but was going to try so he will post soon! |

We had a Blast and my thanks go out to the Canadians for there constent Kindness and goog sense of Humor. Stuart, Your the Best!! Don and Loraine, Hope to see you guy's soon. Galen and Mike, I hope you guys are feeling chipper and all is well with the Bikes. Mike and Kim, Bike?, Bike?, Bike?,............... There seems to be a mass defection but all of us are still good riding Buddy's If you are interested in meeting a few, on every other Tuesday we meet at the Swiss in Tacoma. Does holding back on the road like a master constitute a compliment or a sutle dig, Duane? A man's gotta know his limitations. Or his bike's. Blame the tool. Yeah. That's it! After convincing myself that I should nurse my bald tire through the rest of the season, I had the plan get changed by a three-inch nail on my way to work, going around one of my favorite chicanes with a 5-litre Mustang getting a showin'up. That's quite a way to start the morning. My next bike isn't going to have tire tubes! Cycle world was saying nice things about the XB9S in the newest issue. But it also has a wonderful picture of my next bike. The Aprilia Tuono. If they don't start selling them up here I'm gonna have to move to the States, (in spite of the lack of freedoms, Bob.) |
