Hey guys, Well I decided to ride to work this morning as it was good weather at the time...but hey this is Seattle.Got my rain gear with me.But was wondering if these stock tires are any good in the wet???? Granted I'll be careful as heck going home tonight. Just wanted to know if I will be all over the place trying to ride. Ride on.... Chris |

Be careful in the rain... Pay particular attention to road camber. |

Just be smooth. You should always be smooth but especially in the rain. And don't be afraid of it. Once you spend some time riding in the rain you'll find it's not that bad. (Message edited by darkducati on October 06, 2005) |

Thanks guys....I've rode countless miles in the rain on the dirt bikes but never on the road.So the rain part is no biggie to me,just the camber as mentioned above. I plan to get some real tires soon...maybe sooner than I thought... Chris |

I personally think they suck in the rain no matter how smooth you ride,Ditto for the dry.. Make the switch to Pilot Powers or Sport Tecs and you'll see exactly what I mean. |

The OEM tires will get you from point A to point B just fine, wet or dry. Of bigger concern is how wet you're going to get. I've been caught a couple of times on my 9S and I couldn't have gotten any more soaked had I jumped in a swimming pool! Have fun! |

All in all the stock tires handles well in the wet.Had fun got a little wet but had a load of fun once I got close to home....(empty roads) I was really surprised at how the dunlops stuck to the road.Had to put quite a bit of pressure to lock the rear. Anywho now the question is what do I do with the stock tires????? Gonna put new shoes on her tomorrow. Burn'em off or keep em for spares??? |
