I don't really like the way the color looks with the frame, thats why I'm thinking about repainting it. I'd like to black out the frame & swingarm but not looking forward to all the necessary disassembly. The process for this was a bright silver metallic base coat. Then I mixed a little black with the silver to darken it for the stripes. I found a mysterious can of paint with no label on a shelf at work (I work in a body shop) and opened it to find a really nasty looking brown color. After a sprayout card it was candy orange. A few more coats came out the red (kinda) color you see here. In certain light and at certain angles the color changes from red to burgandy, to orange and the lines disappear and reappear. It's really something you need to see in person. Anyway, thanks for the positive comments. I have been wondering how the red wheels would look with it?... | ||

Here is my 99 M2. Just getting started with mods. Have had it a year and really have been just enjoying it. I added the tach kit, carbon screen. Changed out mid Renthal bars. Put on new controls and CRG levers. LED tail with integrated turn signals. Changed plastics from Red to Black. USD fork is waiting to be installed.     | ||

Going against the current trend of blacking everything out, I've painted my black wheels silver and am really pleased with the results. Maybe I'm just old school, but wheels are supposed to be silver (Chrome and spokes back in the day) Oh yeah, new Roadsmarts too. Handles great!  | ||
