Hi I am back in South Africa but again also on my way to Ankara in Turkey for the next 4 Years.Pleaase help me to help the dealer this end. My brother bought a 2nd hand xb9s 2003 model with only 1000 km on the clock. After a month it started to misfire (erratic ideling} when ideling. Picking up the revs it dissapears and the motor pulls clear. The dealership is taking a look at it but they are baffled. New plugs, rear plugwire, temp sencor in head and also sensor in exhaust still didnt solve the problem. Anybody experienced the same, and what is the fix to it please. Regards Eugene |

what is hot idle speed? TPS reset performed? fuel fresh and of good quality? 600 miles in 3 years is pretty low mileage, something could have gotten a bit stale in the fuel tank. |

are the plug wires the updated ones? Also you stated plug wire. I would do them both just to be sure. Also check the coil for any cracks or carbon traces. |

Thanks for the replies Idle speed was set at around 1100 but then at stages it dips down to about 800 rpm's the rear plug wire was replaces with no changes both plugs , and also the error codes that was precent 13 and 14 was attended to. after the replacementof the temp sensor in the head and also fitting of a new batttery the error codes was cleared. Fuel tank was also drained but as I said the problem only came to light after about a 100 kilos. The problem of the ideling still occured and the exchaust sencor was replaced but the problem is still there. Please more head scratching will be appreciated. best regards for a sunny South Africa 36 deg c.
