Rek, Was planning on vacationing in Montana in a few weeks. I was looking for general info about your state. What to do, what to see. Have always wanted to visit but never had the time. I am making time this year. I really like Glacier from what I have seen, any suggestions? Thank you for asking. Jim |

KCCyclone wrote me yesterday and told me this was the place to reach the KC metro area Buell nuts. I hope the KCMO locals know of someone looking to make an 89 RS1200 part of their riding stable. I have tried the classifieds and it doesn't seem to be reaching the correct buyer. It is original except for the obvious (Tires, pads, oil etc.) replacement items and has NEVER been laid over, dropped or abused. It resides comfortably under a cover in my garage. The factory bugs never came calling for this ride as it has never needed dealer service. Like they could do anything but scratch their heads anyway (without a manual). Its perfect and all I'm asking is that a reasonable offer is made and the bike doesn't end up parted for its powerplant etc. Please flex you collective muscles and help a fireman in need of rescue. Try the KC MOB thread right next to this one. Some folks look at both and some only look at one or the other. |

Is anyone going to heading to the bike nights tonight?? Also I went out and looked the new Uly this weekend, and well I will just say that it did not hit any buttons for me at least. I think it has a place and purpose, but just did nothing for me. But there was a 04 XB12 that was all blacked out chrome wheels and had some aftermarket stuff on it, anyone know the story on that ??? What is the price on the RS Brett? |

As far as tonight I'm out.... But Friday night ride is a go...between 7:30 & 8:00 at Fuel good for everyone? Larry |

I think may head down to the Other Place and maybe down to Frankie Ds if there are some others heading that way. But if The Other Place is lame I will roll to the Clubhouse. |

Fester99/Matthew the price is nego. just make a reasonable offer. I guess the reason I ask for an offer is that no-one can tell me with any degree of certainty what an 89 RS1200 with 8k in flawless condition is worth. It was #4 made in 89. Brett C. pumperco34@yahoo.com |

Matt, I'm waiting for the cops to show up at my house, ohhhhhhhhhh here they come......... nope just someone driving by.......... Ok now i'm going to cringe everytime I open my mailbox, maybe the Olathe PD will mail me a big ticket instead............ Anyway for everyone wondering what the hell I'm talking about.. Matt, Larry and I left the clubhouse feeling good and with fellow Buellers and since Matt's bike is so cool and speedy I had to get on it a bit to catch up to him and well you know how easily the front end pops up on an XB, well it just so happens one of Olathe's finest is cresting a hill in the opposite lane just as i'm lighting up the heavens, flips a biotch and speedily gets right behind me. Well I didn't even know he was back there until I get in a turning lane to head home and he flies by me and turns on his cherry's to pull Matt over........... Anyway I feel pretty stupid, though i'm glad he was cool and let Matt off with a slap on the wrist.......... You should be shot for breaking the law, I mean how do you expect anyone with a yellow Buell to not be harrassed by the Olathe PD Now!! |

Jim, When you are in Glacier, goto Bigfork and head towards Swan Lake, the road will make a T about 6 miles east of Bigfork, great little bar with alot of nice Hells Angels. They are a great bunch of guys, helped us out when we where in need. They all ride pre 60's bikes and have long hair. If you meet Red say hello for me. The best advice I could give you is to just explore your suroundings, you never know what you may find. If you have a car take some of the logging roads and just explore, also make the trip up to Waterton in Canada it is just a few minutes up the road or take the boat there. |

Thansesxb9rs, Thank you for the suggestions, Larry told me about Red , helped him out in a time of need. I will definately keep an eye out for Red when I am there. For the most part I will be exploring the area like you suggested. The best trips to take are the ones with little or no planning. I do have one question for you. Can you see the Aurora Borealis from Montana? and if so, is there a better time of year to see it then other times. Thank you for the info. Jim |

Larry, You are right about the 12R. It belongs to Gail's boyfriend. The bike does have the Buell race kit chrome wheels, black windscreen with 564 miles on it. Here's a photo for anyone that hasn't seen it. Jim |

Yeah it's pretty bada$$, about the best one I've seen. I think Cody said he'd rather have the other one for the simple fact that the race kit actually dyno's at less power (down low maybe?) than the other 12R sittin next to it... |

Jim - go to Alaska. I was there one January (why did the Army have me living in a tent in January???) and saw the light. Really weird to see "living" light...... |

Because the Army uses all of their money on tanks and forget to take care of their troops! You should have joined the Air Force. I saw the lights from 28 thousand feet! |
