Yes Sir! I'll be loading the bike during lunch today. I'm going to pass on sept 10 (joliet) race weekend due to lack of funding, maybe pick up another race on the sept 24th weekend. I figure some starting practice will do me good! |

This was posted by Steve Mackay on the Brew City site yesterday, and was wondering if anybody else knew about this: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just got another email from Caralee in response to WHO is putting on this track day. "Buell is sponsoring the event put on by Blackhawk. I just got the e-mail, turns out it’s Wednesday Sept. 14th. And it’s $99 for people aboard a “Buell” They are still in the works trying to negotiate $99 for riding other makes instead of the usuall $165. The $99 will get you track day access to the track, a DVD of you riding, and lunch. Buell will be there handing out literature, knee pucks and t-shirts. Dan Bilanski will be there (though Hal’s) to help and give pointers to you guys if you want it. Registration and sign up is to be handled through Blackhawk Farm. What they’re trying to do is get 6 people from 5 Buell dealerships for a maximum of 30 Buell riders eligible for the discounted rate of $99." END OF TRANSMISSION UWGRIZ~Shouldn't you be out there that day?!!?? |

All right, were where the rest of you last night? After some very helpful advice from Ugriz, I managed a second place finish last night in the money class!!! $117 dollar payout! I wish road racing paid this well! But I'm sure it was beginners luck, but it sure was fun I don't have quite the reaction times the rest of you have posted, my best was a .037, best ET was 12.375 and I believe my top speed was 108.?? There going to have Harley night the next 2 thursday evenings. I'm going to try to make at least one of them. See ya!

I did talk with Carlee at Hals yesterday. They are going to handle the registration stuff according to her. With the short notice on this, I think there is some confusion between Blackhawk, Buell and Hals. I'll stop in there today and try and find out more. |

Thanks Dana, I'll do that! Have you or anyone else in the group ever installed a jet kit on a Blast? I sold my old one to my best friend (who couldn't make the meeting), and I'd like to get it done for him. I could use all the help I can get with that. I'm not much of a carb. guy. Thanks again, I'll have to keep an eye out for when you guys are going to be at the track and come watch. Catch ya later! |

I've got no problem with that. I'll have to look on the map to see exactly where that is again. But it's up to everyone that wants to ride. Maybe that's too long/far. We'll see if anyone else has any thoughts. |

Check it out Rocco, I'll check here for ideas/options later. Also get the map out too. Rode a Uly today and going again with Fiery Sunday 2-up to compare it vs. Road Glide. Maybe 2 Buells in my garage! |

The park near McHenry is called Moraine Hills. Its about 65-70 miles from Racine. If there is a different place you know about post it. have a great day today, its really nice. Gotta get ready soon for another Uly ride today 2-up with Fiery. |

I'd love to go on a ride tomorrow. But unfortunately, my S3 is a sad, sad bike at the moment.... I finally got time to actually pull the transmission out. The 5th gear bearing does have some slight slop to it. So I'll change it out. The previous owner ran the belt *VERY* tight. Like XB tight. So I'm guessing that's why the outer wheel bearing went bad, along with the slight slop to the 5th gear bearing. While I could ride the XB9R, but it currently is track ready with D208GPs on it. The other S3 needs tires and isolator bushings... |
