Couldn't sleep one bit, off kilter for the day. The dvds and PS2, I could care less about. Replaceable stuff. The memories tied to my RP (#43) collection of diecast. Ripped a hole in the middle of it, sixteen 1/24th cars and my VR1000 bike. Needless to say I will be visiting the local pawnshops for a bit. on a lighter note, they decided that my cheap ($19) headphones were worth the risk. They did use my helmet bags to cart stuff off in. |

I did the ebay watch after my M2 walked. Alot of special parts from Banke. Just waited for them to start showing. Jeez, they got both my video cams also. Thankfully the last ride was just downloaded to the comp the other afternoon. Twas a small person involved. No broken glass and the entry point window does not open up very much. Not to mention the sill is 6' above ground level. A fairly professional job. They found the stashed 9mm and rifled my desk for keys. Some of the stuff on the other hand.....says different. Just never leave any important keys around the house. |

Loki, Check to make sure your vehicle titles, bills, check books, passports, ss card and bank books are still there. A lot of B&E's main targets are identity theft not the stolen objects. If they get virgin numbers and an address, they can get credit cards and loans against you and there is no way you can stop it easily. I keep all my important papers in a safe deposit box for both fire and theft protection. All the keys in the house get stored in the gun safe. A favorite thing for B&E cons is to grab keys and then come back a few days later and drive away. I used to be a corrections officer and I listened to the scumbags tell each other how to score better, so I learned real quick what to do to keep my stuff mine. I know what's coming through that door after me and my stuff. If I'm home, I'll introduce them to Mr Mossburg Military. Tom |

Used to have a sign on my front door. Meet my lawyers, SW&M esquires at large. (Smith, Wesson and Mossberg) Nothing quite like the sound of A 500 being racked in the still dark night air. This was a pure theft thing, no papers taken. Keys were with me, all the keys are all the time. |

Hold tight guys, the fuel thing is about to get worse. I was working with a customer today who owns a gas station. This afternoon they received notice that their cost of gas was going up another 23 cents per gallon. They were already selling 87 octane for $2.89 that morning before they received the new price increase. |

and the panic sets in... A friend called earlier saying his office had let everyone go home (hes in Charlotte) as they heard gas stations will be forced to close due to shortages. (no I'm not kidding) 2 stations in town here, one has $2.99 per gallon and a full parking lot of customers... 'cause the other station has $3.49 posted (and no customers) Right next to my 16MPG truck, I parked the 40MPG Yamaha and will be on the 60MPG Blast tomorrow |

Too bad our bikes don't run on diesel. We could all make our own gas out of used french fry oil. |

It's true I saw it on Trucks(the T.V. show). He made 20 gallons of diesel for about 80 CENTS a gallon. Used french fry oil,Lye,and methanol. freedomfuels.com or something like that. |

It's true I saw it on Trucks(the T.V. show). He made 20 gallons of diesel for about 80 CENTS a gallon. Don't forget -- that's after spending $4,000 for the equipment. My pickup is a diesel -- I checked it out when I saw that episode. Would take a long time to recoup your equipment investment -- plus don't forget about your investment in time to collect all the oil, and don't forget the fact that despite what they said on the show, most unmodified diesels do not want to run reliably on 100% biodiesel. More like 20-40%. One of the reasons I bought a diesel pickup was the price of fuel compared to that of gasoline. Historically, it's always been cheaper than regular unleaded. It's now more expensive than super unleaded. Might have to switch to jet fuel. It's price is looking better all the time. Steve. (Message edited by 2k4xb12 on September 01, 2005) |

Another note......if your looking to get your own campsite near us for a motorhome or vehicle camping ,ask for "Turn 11 GENERAL camping!" This is all thats availiable around us for vehicles......$190.00 for 3 nights. I spoke to our friend there,MaryJ,and she said she'll make sure were taken care of as far as the demand of extra money for extra vehicles....she was appalled at the way they treated us.ALSO!!!!if you have legitimate ideas for solving their traffic or Camping problems she asked that we email the SCRAMP group (MaryJ@laguna-seca.com) with your suggestions. The fellow with the PARKS group retired in April and now they can stage campers however they see fit! Update for the elite: Yamaha announced a new version of their already-updated-for-06 R1. It's called the LE, comes with Ohlins, Marchesini, slipper clutch, PDCs, lap timer, and of course it's only available in the "50th anniversary" King Kenny paint scheme. My 999 riding brother-in-law is thinking of buying one. Must be nice. Mike L. That's funny, those links worked for a non-MO subscriber earlier today. They must have caught on. Anyway, here are the pics in Badweb-approved sizes:
