Ok, 10AM at South Side Harley Davidson/Buell. Kickstands up by 10:15. We'll go down US 31, hit SR 44, then roll down to Bloomington HD/B. I made it home in one piece, my starter came loose thats where all the fluid was coming from. Called harley and they cant get it in till early september (SUPRISE!!). I'm fixing it now, I have to remove the primary cover and all that good stuff, should have it done tomarrow after I get all my gaskits. When's the next trip! | ||

Good, glad you guys got home ok. Corey have you heard from your Dad? Skeeter are you there? I'll post the pics we took later, I'm too tired to mess with them right now. I don't know about you guys, but I am wiped out. Next weekends Demo days at Bloomington HD/B starts at 10 AM on Saturday. Who wants to go and what time can you meet the rest of us at South Side Harley? I can be there as early as 8 AM. | ||

Also, on the way home I ran across a guy riding a X-1 White Lightning. His brother has a Firebolt. They might come with us next weekend. Our ranks are growing guys! Keep your eyes out for Buellers so we can boost our ranks. It would be really cool if a decent number of us could walk in to South Side Harley and tell them we are serious about getting the BRAG chapter rolling again. Once we have 20 or 30 guys, I want to see if we can invite Erik Buell to come down and ride with us. | ||

Dad made it home safely although he received a warning from an unmarked cop on Hwy 50. The officer was polite, especially for 20+ over the posted speed! It was nice seeing everyone again and nice meeting Chad and Ryan. Don't know if I'm going to make the Bloomington Demo Day... | ||

Well I guess I should have asked you guys, how many of you are interested in having a formal BRAG chapter? Or would you rather keep things more informal? Remember that a formal club could mean things like yearly dues, etc. I don't know for sure. But it would also mean sponsorship by a dealer, endorsement from Buell, and all the good things that come along with that. Obviously, I support having a formal BRAG chapter. I'm willing to take responsibility and lead the charge on this, but I need support. I want to walk into South Side Harley with at least 10 guys to officially tell them that we want to resurrect "Indy Streetfighters" BRAG. Is anyone with me on this? | ||

As for next weekend, I've scheduled a 5000 mile service for my Firebolt at Bloomington HD/B. I want to leave as early as I can so I can get that done. I also need to change my rear tire. I can get that done here in town, but its alot cheaper if I can bring the wheel in. My problem is, I don't have a jack or anything to lift the bike. Does anyone have the ability to help me with this? | ||

Check this thread. buelldealer is the OWNER (Jeff Stevens)of Bloomington HD/B. He wants a BRAG club. He's a great guy. At the last demo ride day, he was the one refueling the bikes after every couple demos. How many owners would do that? His profile shows he personally owns 4 Buells. This may be an option and it's close to the good roads. | ||

I don't deny that Bloomington HD/B speaks Buell. Its enticing to me that they race them. My only problem with them is that they are pretty far from here. What do you think Glenn, it's even farther for you. Regardless of which dealer we choose, we still need to walk in with a fair number of guys so our words will carry wieght. I think skeeter said it best "This may be an option and it's close to the good roads." That's where we would most likely ride anyway. And truly it's really not that far for me. Except...and as Chad saw...I NEED A NEW SEAT..gotta major seat rash...very painful. |
