Blake, Thanks for the heads up on the Tank Bra, that was an after market purchase by the wife, gotta keep it on for a little wile, if you know what I mean. I get the feeling from my experience with my dealer is that they don't want to work on the Buell, these guys are too busy attaching chrome to 25k harleys. I am going to ride this weekend and start with a new dealer next week. My main concern right now is the Stalling. It has stalled from the first week I had the bike. This same dealer suggested I run higher RPM's, and let the bike warm up for a longer time. Out the door yesterday, one of the "mechanics" mentioned a Back Stall sensor. Said it was a device used to kill the bike if you drop it. Sales guy suggested un-plugging the device.... |

RR, No spacers, just the normal "supertrapp gapp", and no, the pipe in the picture was on S1#2, that I sold to a young gentleman from New Jersey several months ago. However, you've heard the 2.5" version of the same pipe that's on S1#1 (the bike I rode up to your place for the crawfish boil--thanks again!). I gave it a pretty good blast as I left for home, your neighbors may be still be looking for me. r-t ps--HBDTM--51 yesterday! |

The "mechanic" may have been referring to the bank angle sensor. Your kick stand switch could also be shot. |

R-T: Trust me my friend, you got nothing on me when it comes to pissing off my neighbors. Try tearing out of the drive at 6:00 am about twice a week. Not to mention the CAT thing. I told you that story, right? A loud bike? PSHAWWW! |

So how about it, Blake, when are you gonna come down and ride with us? All you need to do is get your oversized self (with riding gear) down here to our fair city and let your Houston friends take care of motorized two-wheeled transport, cold malted beverages, lodging and food. Especially food--Roadrunr will throw a tabby on the barbie for you... How can you pass up a deal like that? r-t |

Sounds good to me. But a long weekend in the OK/AR mountains sounds good too. How 'bout we plan a sojourne to cooler climes and twistier roads. Any of y'all ever been to Skyline Drive, Talamina State Park, Saddle Gap Saloon? I'd be happy to show y'all the three pine trees that my first Buell murdered back in April 1999. Y'all leave on a Friday morning early. Meet up in Kilgore, end up at Talahina or vicinity that afternoon. Long ride for y'all though. |

A weekend in AR/OK may warrant a SLAB rider or two to meet up with some Texans. Keep us in the loop Blake if ya'll decide to head north. Do you know if there are any plans for another Hill Country ride this year? I think Dallas Buell sponsored it last year? DAve |

That kind of distance could require me to ride the Road_Thing. I could leave the saddlebag lids cracked so the cats can breathe... Seriously, that sounds pretty good. How does it compare to the Big Slough? I still haven't found that place on a map, but it might be a little easier for us to reach. r-t |

Dave,et al Thrills In The Hills II is scheduled for the weekend of September 21st-22nd. We are just starting to work on the details, but the cabins are reserved and, based on the ideas being thrown around so far, it looks like it will be even better than last year. We'll be scouting some roads this Sunday (weather permitting). Last year's event was an Austin Buell/Buell of Dallas joint effort. I don't know yet if Dallas will be involved this year or not, but they sure will be invited (along with everyone else in the Buell universe)! I (or Billy or Lloyd or Jeff or Carolina) will be posting details as soon as things are firmed up. We'll probably also have a website posting, so that more people can have easy access to all the details. That's it for now, but it IS happening and more info will be soon forthcoming. R-T: Ok maybe I should have not brought up the kitty thing. I think I told you how ugly it got around here after the accident So if during one or our beer swillin BBQ'S or boils the subject ever surfaces with shannon there, I can only compare the terror and pain that she will inflict on me and anyone within a 100' radius to maybe 2 things....1) Standing under the hindenburg (shannon being aforementioned craft) drinking a brew and thinking "Wow this is really fun" only to realize that you just stepped into wet cement and it has cured around your ankles. History tells the rest of the story.....2)Try sticking your head into the depths of hell, look satan square in the face and tell him "Steve said your a fag" You think he will push you aside just to get me? OH NOOOOOO! everyone around is getting sucked through that portal to the next dimension. ....Please all, don't do that to me. I don't think she would let me take the buell with...Steve |
