Galen, I hate to ask you this but did you pull it down far enough to check to see that the Wrist Pin clip didn't come off the Wrist pin? I down think it did as we both checked it while installing. Also Roc may be right on the total time you ran it. Maybe not long enough. I may have time to come over this evening. Dont give up, Bob |

ROC, you may be on to somethin'. Did not let it run that long, plus I thought that the exhaust rocker was dry when I popped the top off after it's first test run. I did take the rods down to Destination and they rolled 'em and said they is OK. Thanks for the help BOB, no I didn't take it down that far, but like you said, we BOTH checked and it was in there, dammit Boy, that Cecil has got a mouth on him, don't he. I was readin' his drivel about out riding Eric...don't think so. Thanks BOB for you help and time GALEN |

Hey, Is anything going on over the 4th? I'll be in the area, but I'll be busy too, mostly be down at the coast but will probably swing through Seattle and loop around Tacoma. So if some guy with a bushy mustache waves at you on your bike, it just might be me. |

Buellbob. Them Additude snobs never answered your plea for company. They don't let me ride with them either. The SPLASH ride they're talking about is a great one if you can swing it. I, unfortunately, have to do the family vacation thing that weekend and they wouldn't reschedule my favorite event just cause of some crappy race at a dry lake somewhere down south that happens the weekend following. They're just self-centred hooligans and you wouldn't want to hang with them anyway. Plus, they drink too much. |

Galen: That's GREAT news. Way to go, Betty! Way to go Galen! Dan: Thank's for the offer but I'm going to decline. Galen is running a lighter weight oil (15W50) in his transmission and I think the next time I change I'll go in that direction. Galen & Dan: A post concerning transmission fluids on ATC that might be of interest |

Ray, Funny you should say that. I was checking Cycle gear on 38th for the Redline gear oil. One of the guys working there races a Buell with regularity. He swore up and down about the quality of Motorex oils (very lightweight), so I was eventually swayed by his sincerity and money back guarantee if I was not satisfied. I agreed to try it. Very nice indeed!!! I think I may have found a new gear oil Have fun! Dan |

I caught Stuart Wells from Deeley's House of Buell, riding the new Buell at a secret test track up here in Canada. Wow, and I thought the XB9R was a compact bike! |

Well now. No bites from anybody. You would think that a Vancouver Buellers group should be able to be assembled. I know Matt was saying he needed someone to ride with last year and I feel guilty about not tracking him down. Dave. Are you getting any road miles on? You've got your own little gang, haven't you? I've been pounding back the hours at work and haven't had time to ride, or even to patch Frankenstein back up since Jim and I did a week-long road trip last month. Buellbob. I know what you mean about trannys. I did my bikes this spring. Then I did the mini-van's. Then the wifey got the van totalled. Now the replacement van's tranny is acting up. I should have bought a franchise. I see my next ride being this Sunday if the weather holds. If hanging with a Sportster, and maybe a ZRX, suits your fancy, call me Saturday at 585-0017. Anyone else in the neighbourhood want to come and play? Matt? Do you lurk here? If not, I'll track you down. Dave? Bob and Lorraine? Saturday could also work instead. Call Friday. |

Sportyeric Buellbob here I will call. I also got an E-mail from lorraine at Additude. I also would like to do SPLASH but I see my wife has written in something for that Sat. so I'm probably not going anywhere. Thanks for the response. I almost thought no one was paying any attention. BOB |

Hey Buellbob and Sportyeric, I haven't been getting out regularly for rides but if there is some people who want to meet and go for a ride I'll try to make it. Is there somewhere/sometime you have in mind? |

Looking at my previous posting, I think maybe I was being uncharacteristically silly. Didn't mean any harm. I've just put in 132 hours at work this pay-period so I'm getting a little giddy. As I think I hold the "drinking too much" rep, the rest just follows as the babbling of a fool. I'm riding to Lillouette(?) on Sunday, with Jim, Buellbob?, an old friend with a new Sporty, and any other friendly faces who might like to join us. |

And in the morning, it still seems inadequate. Don and Lorraine (at Attitude) are wonderful people. I only picked on them cause they were the first Canucks to show up on the board after Buellbob's inquiry. Everyone else I'm still mad at for not re-scheduling SPLASH to meet my needs. Oops. There I go again! In fact, there aren't many Vancouverites who participate here, or who get together for a Buellers ride except the big events, which are too infrequent. I'm envious of the Swiss thing, although I don't have time myself for regular get-togethers. For the few years previous, I've been occassionally riding with a group of Kawasakis that meet Thursday night on a drop in basis (without the dealer's support or sponsorship (or responsibility for our actions). It would be cool to see such a thing established in Vancouver for Buells. There must be enough Buells. I see them everywhere, but never two together. However, as I don't even have one myself, I don't even know what I'm doing here, except enjoying the good company. As to a Sunday ride, I'll consult with my main riding buddy and post a meeting time tonight. |
