I was browsing through the photo section and noticed several Firebolts (just bought a 2003) that have custom paint jobs. I assumed since the plastic vibrates and flexes the paint would not hold up and eventually crack or peel off.
Is there a special paint or technique used to make it durable?
On a side note has anyone tried Future floor polish to cover the scratches and dull spots that show up sooner or later. It adds a layer of acrylic which is quite durable. I use it on my ATV and it makes the scratches virtually invisible. I don't want my new bike to be the test subject so thought I would see if anyone else has tried it before I slather it on LOL!

I know that PPG makes an additive for plastic, called a flexiblizer I think. I have used some of the acrylic polish before and it does a nice job, but never tried floor polish and probably won't.
