Been looking at getting another Buell. I can get a good deal on a left over '05 XB12S. Are the '06 upgrades significant enough to justify the additional cost? I'm not crazy about that translucent body work either. Thanks for any opinions. |

The tranny definitely looks like the major upgrade for 06. Try and demo one of each and see if it's worth the money to you. |

Yah the tranny, easier clutch, easier rear swingarm (for oil). I would go 06. |

Sure will. It was a difference of $500 to get the '06. Just waiting for one to come in now. |

Money well spent. You get better fuel range, a better airbox setup, the better oil pump drive gear, a better belt, better oil fill location, and the best transmission ever put in an HD product. I'd pay $500 to get my 05 updated |
