What are the chances that Buell will produce see-thru and/or the new body color front fairings or tail plastics for the R models? Anyone else think a see-thru R model would be cool? |

they could easily do this. its not as if it requires a different mold to shoot that stuff. i'm sure they would have to hear of enough demand for it though. |

I have asked for it, here anyway, twice already... I'm with you - it'd be cool. |

Don't you know that the 'R' is dead? |

Just out of curious, do you think it might be possible that Buell is impaired by DOT rules to make the translucent front fairing due to the headlights shining upwards along the plastic making the bike into whats deemed a "rolling distraction"? Or even possibly making the plastic a reverse mirror causeing some of the light to reflect back into the riders field of view? This is a guess mind you from having seen headlight glow behind the windscreen of an SX at night... |

From time to time, I run across articles or items that have been modded - given clear plastic treatments. It's something of a fad in Japan with people with access to dental mold equipment. Fairings would be a "large scale" project, but there's a nugget for you to go on. |

Whats done aftermarket is not the same as whats done factory. Aftermarket can add that little disclaimer "For off road use only" |

Even if they couldn't produce the see thru parts I'd still like the option to select R front or rear plastics in the other colors. The new orange rocks! |

Hmmm, always wondered why the CityX didn't get a blue fender... Imagine, if you will, a translucent orange airbox, illuminated from within, and painted black except for "Buell" and some flames! (C'mon, Stou!) |

That's a good looking bike and I do mean the new "Sunset Orange" color of the XB12Ss. |
