BB went with the Banke set-up. Already had the shifter and brake pedal from them. The bars..... Ordering a custom bar that will drop right in. Just and inch lower and an inch and a half less pullback. Brave you say? I am tired of popping it out of gear. Sat on the girl with the rearsets installed the other day. I like! |

Loki- Ya, I know what you mean, before rearsets, it was a controlled excercise in insanity- once you start dragging that peg, how much farther can you lean, it's ok to touch that brake or shifter, but you don't wanto knocker out of gear, break that pedal off, or lift that tire and really find out how good your reflexes are!( Well, the only one I can't speak from experience about would be breaking off the pedal! Won't attribute that to skill, either.) Just wait till you ride 'er w/ em, you will LOVE IT! Have fun, my Buell brethren... |

BB got the numbers set for the bars. Calling Califronia Designs monday morning. Price is $64 to my door in two weeks. They are a full two inches wider. These guys will make bars to your specs. For a price to your door of $100. At these prices one can afford to try different combinations. L |

Hmm...Now that's hard to argue with! Let us know how you like your new combo... I am heading out of state for a couple months, and may not see my bike for a while (groooooaann) so I won't be trying anything like that atleast until summer... Have fun, ride much... Ray |

Anyone care to give me a hand with a small machining project: a set of 43 mm fork tube caps with the part of the cap above the fork tube extending about 30 mm - and of course a hex shape up top for a socket wrench. Henrik |

Henrik, I can work up a solidworks file for you if you think it would help...You could take it to any nc equipped machine shop to build from. Whatcha got going? Want to put some clip ons on above the triple clamps> Al |

Al: thank for the offer - but I don't think it's going to be too complicated (famous last words ) I'm thinking that it could be machined (lathe) out of some aluminum round stock ? Josè: I'll keep you posted. The idea is for my SV, where I'm running clip-ons below the top triple. That works fine for track days, but I'll be taking that bike for a longer trip this summer and was looking for an easy solution for more comfort. The SV forks are standard with no external adjustments, so the caps can be really simple. Also, I've raised the forks about 10mm, so the clip-ons would have both the extended caps and the more solid tubes to clamp on to. Should be strong enough to be safe. To make something similar for inverted forks with the external adjustments reachable will require some more advanced machining I'd think - but still doable, and you can probably raise the forks a bit as well. I'll keep you guys posted. Now who has a lathe and a couple of hours to spend? Henrik |

First ride with the Banke rearsets on the M-Deuce. Money well spent! Positioning is near perfect for me, no crowded feeeling. It is gonna take some getting used to (picking my feet up)higher (to get to the)pegs though. Just need to fine tune the shifter and brake arm heights. Shifting is as smooth as ever. Just need to really concentrate from first to second. Keep hitting that neutral spot. The shift in body weight and position makes the front real light. In launch mode that is. I could feel the front unload and lift without any effort on my part |

Bryan: It's the weight loss. Getting rid of the stock chromed steel lever must save at least 100 pounds. |

It could also be the 20lbs I have lost since last fall Now I just need those bars to show up. |

Has anyone tried one of the Buell Pro-Series accessory seats? I need some relief for long rides (300+ miles). I have a Pro-pad installed currently, but doesn't cut it after about an hour. I am also looking at Sargent's using their website example no. 12 for my current seat. I really like the looks of the Buell accessory seat best. |

Skulley, No pics just answers. The above mentioned footpegs will work on your passenger pegs but do you want them to always be in the down position? I myself like to fold up my passenger pegs when not in use so thats something to think about. The first pegs mentioned are the stock rubber coated ones that come on new Buells. The price on the Millenium pegs has went up to $11.95 each. Still a good deal but not a great one like before. The pegs are silver, taper down at the ends and have a cast in boot cleaner type pattern. I had them on my Yellow S3 at Thrills in the Hills if you maybe noticed. |

Schemky, I posted pic's of my Sargents seat last year on this board and alot made fun of the couch. I have over 10'000 logged in it and all I can say is it was my best investment on my bike. I think it was back in Jan. or Feb last year. I'll try to find them. Ryan |

Rippin, Thanx, I have created a folder and saved your pictures accordingly. Your seat looks comfy. I am in the process of trying to locate a spare 99 and up M2 seat I can purchase and send to Sargent's so I can continue to ride my trusty M2. I will send your pictures with my seat to Sargents. If I don't like the seat, you're to blame. |

Buelliedan Im putting on a crossroads 2-up. I don't piticularly need spring load for rear just looking for a nice female to mount, Uh..., ya. I have nice spring load in front and want to match the rears, (clean look), and have matching ASB pegs for the rear. I have the stock rear mounts but they are ugly and have a hex head bolt and lock nut. The front are machined with the e-clip. Can the spring load be turned over to hold the rears up? I haven't seen a Millenium rear mount so I was looking for a pict. |

Skulley, Its funny that you are taking off your Crossroads solo rearsets and I took a 2 up rearset and cut them into solos. Where were we? Oh yea, If you did reverse the springs then your rider would have to constantly push down on the pegs which she probably wouldn't appreciate!! If you are just trying to get a better look Tat at American Sport Bike sells some really trick billet foot peg bolts that would look really nice and would compliment the fronts. PS, the milleniums use the same mounting system as any other X1. Just different foot pegs. |

Using the spring in reverse could cause a real problem for you "nice female mount". It will swing up when not pushed down. Gee, I pulled my leg up, then put it back down at 50MPH and the footpeg wasn't there anymore. Darling, can you help me find my foot? Jeff |

Just ordered a Buell Pro Series seat for my 99 M2 from Sport Twin online. Talk about service, they had the red piping seat in stock, shipped the same day (didn't order til' around 3:00 p.m.). Price was cheaper than anyone else including shipping, holy moley!! Got a UPS tracking number via e-mail. Hope this works better than the stocker. I'll let you know. |

S3T bars on an M2? Will they work? Any cable lengthening needed? I'm still in search of the right Buell and a 2001 or 2002 M2 seems to be a good choice if I can be sure I'm comfortable on it over a long ride. The extra height of the S3T bars seem to be the answer. Anyone ever done this or something similar? Thanks, Scott Colbath Scottsdale, Az. |

S3T bars work on a X-1. Don't know about a M-2. Don't see why they wouldn't. Pilk |
