I am the proud new owner of a Blast. There was one in the Sunday paper that was too good to pass up. Did anyone try to ride a Fbolt and Hal's on Sat.? I guess someone put it down on a slow corner. There wasn't much damage, but the shut down the demo's. Jeff |

I was the first one then in the middle of the ride I let Jerry take it. On the second ride the person layed it down at low speed. I'm personaly too tall and my hands went numb don't know if it was the cold or riding position. But it did handle great |

Jerry, I can put the WileyCo back on the M2 and pay your office a visit on Friday if needed. Everything okay? Hang in there, with your Masters Degree, they now owe you a raise. |

Sorry but the AMA races are at Road America that weekend. I'd rather ride some good twisties than hang out with a bunch of Harley posers. If you're on your way south, stop by Elkhart. The races are a great time. Mennis |

Charlotte, Also check out the BattleTrax schedule scattered around the area down here. I think the Rally is Thursday-Saturday or Sunday. Here's the link to the events in any case. BattleTrax is scheduled for Saturday. But some will instead run up to the races. (Means less competition for those in town.) Anyway, I'll probably wander around down there a bit for a few hours on Friday or Saturday just to have a look-see. Watch out for hole-shots on both left and right sides at traffic lights as slightly inebriated "bikers" get a little throttle-happy. Not so bad during daylight, gets squirrelyier (sp?) after dark, and especially around Water street which maybe fortunately is a bit too far to walk from Veterans Park on the waterfront. |

Well if anyone is going down to Uke's for Battletrax, make sure you stop by my place after for my psuedo-graduation party!!! Can you tell I don't know what to think anymore? Anybody is welcome, just show up anytime after 4p.m. and have a good time. I'm modeling it after those Miller MGD promotions, "Large Band, Small Club". Except mine is "Large Crowd, Small Apartment" We will have lots of beverages, both frosty and carbonated, and food. Jerry Iseriouslyneedtogoforaverylongrideandgainanewperspectiveonlife |

Jerry, Does this mean the thesis got approved????? You know that this now means you have to wear a tie to the BRAG meetings. Bike parking on the sidewalk next to the creek at your place? Is 3am too late to show up, it's after 4pm. Seriously though, congratulations on the Masters. MikeJ (still working on my BA degree, and no that isn't an abbreviation for BAstard) |

It's been approved, well sort of. I have to make a bunch of changes and prove/disprove/redesign some things more to the liking of my review board. It can be aggrevating at times. It's also a very humbling experience when you get your ass handed back to you during a presentation. Long story short, I will be able to "graduate" and all of that good stuff, but I won't actually get my diploma until I have revised my paper to the liking of my review board and they have signed off on it. I'm hoping to have a new draft ready for their pleasure ready by the 24th of May. Hopefully I can finish up everything by the middle of June. I just want to be done right now and get on with my life. I'll even clear out the garage for bike parking, or at least our half of the garage. It'll probably fit 5 to 6 bikes if they're parked nice. And 3a.m. shouldn't be to late, I think I'll just be getting warmed up then. Jerry (ProudtobeaBLAstard) |

Jerry: Congrats Brew City Brag Members: I've suggested to Rick that we show the Harley group riding video at the next meeting. After reading what happened (just reading, I wasn't actually present and accounted for) with the Windy City Brag, I think we need to have a better game plan in place for group rides. If anyone agrees, please send forward a suggestion to Rick. I have some other meeting suggetions but this isn't the time or place. Like an as*hole, I have opinions about what can be done to make things better. Ping me if an Brew City Brag members want to talk. Later, Mennis |

I didn't catch exactly or approximately what happened on their ride, apart from it being too large of a group for a "decide as you go" route. Only read about a crash, but not any details of the crash. Probably just missed the post. How long is the video? If you have opinions and feel like expressing them then type away. If someone don't like it they can just page down a bit. There are more lurkers than posters here. |

I haven't actually seen the video. I've heard it had some valuable information. This was posted by a Windy City rider: "And always remember "YOU NEVER LEAVE YOUR WING MAN."Also you're only as fast as your slowest rider! And we need to give some classes on group riding.I guess everyone missed that Brag meeting.I remember the film." I just thought that it would be good to have some guidelines for group rides. Not only will it make the ride safer but also more fun. As for the Brew City club... I've heard some grubbling that the meetings are just a "jokefest". I would tend to agree. There needs to be some leadership. I don't feel that it is Rick's resonsiblity to be a babysitter at the meetings. We should have some structure. I also feel the meetings should be educational. Things like the group riding video, suspension tuning seminars, etc. Just my $.02 worth. I want to see this club grow and suceed. Right now I don't see that happening. Maybe for later. Too much work |

Mennis, I am in agreement. I was going to try and bring some things up at the last meeting, but it is kind of hard to do at a restaraunt/bar over the background noise and distractions. Jerry |

I'll try to behave tonight. Speaking of which, since I left early last month, where is the meeting tonight? And does anyone know the hours of the B-Trax at Ukes on Saturday? Start time, practice hours, final run time, other times? Gotta go. |
