With Rossi, on a track he has never been on before, pulling a 1:23...It will be an interesting race to say the least. |

Also very interesting to compare the pole times between Mat Mladin on his Suzuki Production based GXSR-1000 and the GP Times. Mat did a 1:24.887 compared to Nicky Hayden doing a 1:23.024 on a multi-million dollar Honda V-five GP bike. That represents a 2.2% difference. I think that the Mladin's performance is pretty amazing considering the fact that he is racing a production machine based bike. |

Right you are wicked, that was Valentino Rossi a 1:23.024. So if you take Hayden at 1:22.670 and Mladin at 1:24.887 the difference is 2.217 seconds per lap. Still pretty impressive I should say, and still about 2 and half percent. |

And Mladin doesn't make the GP grid. 2.2 seconds a lap over 30 laps you lose by a minute, that's huge. |

It's alright Wycked, I'm on shift right now so I'll just get up and watch it in the mornin'... Appreciate the offer though. Have some fun at the Seca party for me! If I wasn't on shift, I'd be there! |

It's true that Nicky's bike is better than Mladin's Suzuki. But I also think Nicky is now a good step over Mladin with is GP experience. Nicky is a lot younger and has probably has more potential. Matt is older and at the top right now. My 2 cents! |

It's going to be a great race. I got to watch the 1988 GP there, was seated on the inside of the corkscrew on turn 9. My brother and I got there early, nailed down a spot for our beach chairs, had a cooler full of cool stuff, plenty of chow, and it was a great day. We just hung loose around the track for 2-3 hours after the race to let the exit pandemonium calm down a little. Jack |
