Hey Lo, Don't know if Janel and I count as the party group, but we've got a reservation at the Best Western. We might even have convinced another couple to tag along. You guys are a bad influence. Ya know you've got it bad when the first date you look for when contemplating putting in for leave is when is SPLASH. Hoping to make Border Raid this year too. Your pics make it look REAL inviting. 57 and a wake up!!! Pete |

Regrets. My days off have been switched to Sunday/Monday. So Tukwila is a workday that I can't really afford to miss. As I'm saving up for SPLASH!!!!! See y'all soon. |

So here's the weather for Sat. Could be better, but we've all seen worse! S1 and 12Bolt, when are you planning to arrive? Word is Eric will be there 11am-1pm, then 2pm - 4pm. Talked to Duane, (the other S1!) today, and he may get to roll in on 4-wheeles. We'll miss you Sporty, at least 'till SPLASH! BRAG ride Sunday. Meet at Paradise at 10am, take a few pictures of the group and bikes for FUELL, and then depart. Ride is to Corvalis and the vintage motorcycle meet via 99W. Given time and interest we could take a quick, another hour or so, trip up Mary's Peak and back- twist and climb. |

I think we need to send that oil to a lab to be tested. At one time I saw the oil listed on a site as a Mobil 1 part # but that site is long gone.I have a lab down the street from my firehouse and will check with them.Got my last bottles of gold from the Turbo Doc. |

Shotgun, A girl I am! It really was not the threat of rain stopping me. I just am so tired. Working my buns off 6 days a week and trying to keep the house in order is the problem. I guess I just have to give in and say heck with the house work and do more riding. Deb always tells me to set my priorities straight! She is so correct. The Harley goes in for the 5000 tune up tomorrow so will be cleaning it up today. After this I promise the priorities will change! Races in Muckyville next weekend. Who is going? Loni |

Loni, we missed you and Chris today. 5 riders left Paradise, Branden had to cut out at Salem for his son's pre-school recital. Roc's battery crapped out. Saw Chris and his Vincent Eglie at the show. Saw Joy and Brian there too along with Roc's Dad. Good turnout at Vintage Day. Came back the long way around, thru Philomath and Peedee and stopped at Buell Park so Roc could pee. Got wet a couple times but the day got better as it went along. 255 miles on my clock. Lovely day. See you on the weekend, though may only be there for the races Sunday as my Derbi is sooooo tuned in, there's not much sense in extra practise on Saturday. (Besides, I think Mary has plans) |

Glad to here you all had a good ride today. Loni and I will be at the MacTrack early Friday evening and staying throughout the weekend. Shotgun, Are you sure you don't need to get in a couple of laps on Saturday? We could keep an eye on your gear over night if you change your mind. Chris |

Nice pics, Steve. Kim, if Bob is fine-tuning, maybe I better come Saturday too. I mean, I don't mind watching Deb's butt, but I at least want to be able to see it after the start. |

The bike is now having some tranny issues, started after the Brag ride and left me stranded out past Vernonia. Was on the side of the road for about 4 hours or so, and it looks like the damage is gonna be costly. So I think it is time to think about selling the S1. This could affect us making it to splash and other events this year I dont know what to do anymore |

Well I went and showed Eric my little bitch on Sat. He said he'd never seen one if his bikes quite like that! Had a huge smile. Signed my flysceen just as my camera's bat's died. Got one pic of Buells answer to Deb's Speed 3. sooner, Galen |

S1H - Check your front sprocket for the belt drive. My S1 stripped the splines off of the inside of this sprocket, the nut that retains it backed out, and I was pushing once upon a time - only time a Buell ever failed to get me home. Sorry you were stranded. |

Kim, as Bob points out. You could of lapped me you were riding so sweet. Also the bike might be faster. The rider might not! My get off's have effected my riding.Slow and steady gets me points LOL.Can't wait to see everyone. I'm leaving for the track around 11 on friday. Bob will join up much later in the evening. He gets to ride. Steve and wife will also be joining us.Galen would of loved to see Eric sign your bike. When he signed mine, it lasted two weeks before the bike hit the ditch. Be careful :> Later Deb |

S1H, I feel your pain. I was so bummed when I was having all my problems...Dark Days Indeed. I don't know that much about the S1, but Roc sounds like he has a good place to start. We're all pullin' for ya! Hi Ray! I was pretty sure you were lurkin' around. The guy who owned the Green Machine was getting all these strokes from Eric, that it" looked like what the Euro guys do to their bikes", and yada yada. When I said I thought it looked like a Speed Triple there was a lull in the butt kissing that I used to lead Eric over to Betty! He really got a kick out of her unique take on life. sooner, Galen ps, picture of butt kissing posted below.... (Message edited by sparropie on May 25, 2005) |

"butt kissing" Yes! I only wish I was cool enough to have my butt kissed. Erik Buell is certainly one of the guys that should expect to have lipstick his bottom. A super cool bike racer, PhD level engineer, brilliant business man and pretty good blues guitar player. A good looking, high energy, outgoing personality, stud kind of guy. Hey, if I were smart, talented, ambitious and good looking I could have been a contender. You'd be riding a bike with MAINES on the tank. That said, butt kissing makes me ill. Hi Erik, wazup? Why don't ya make a bike that doesn't shake it's nuts off? Sour grapes. I should have gone up to Downtown on Saturday. Did I ever tell you that my friend David and I, way back in the day, when rock and roll was new and life was good, used to get thrown out of "Tomm & Son's Triumph" on Empire Way in So. Seattle by none other than Carmen Tomm. That would be THE Carmen Tomm who owns Downtown HD and is the father of Russ Tomm who actually runs the place that is now located in Tukwila. Dave and I would walk from our homes on Webster St. on Beacon Hill down into the Rainier Valley, past the Market Time Drug Store, and sit on Carmen's new Triumph 650's and lie to each other and Carmen about how we were going to buy one someday. Dave and I really believed it but Carmen didn't. Carmen sez: "Say boys, don't I hear your mother calling?" Money talks, Bull S**t walks. Always has, always will. Dave now lives on Orcas Island, in a log cabin that he built himself, with his third wife and a twelve year old daughter, and owns a big wooden hull sail boat. I live in Tacoma and have a cheap a$$ Triumph Sprint RS. I could have been a contender I tell ya. "... If I only had a brain." |

So have I told you about my official theme song? I can often be found at work pushing my Xray gizmo and whistling it. Or just out of the blue that one line just goes off in my head. It does fit in so many situations. I know there are other verses, but the one that really speaks to me is the Scarecrow’s. I have seen that there are other people around this terrarium that should identify with the missing heart (they get all the jobs requiring cruelty and horror), but precisely because it is missing, they can not miss it. Such is not the case with me and my deficiency however. It seems to be pointed out to me constantly during practically every waking moment.... Thats from a letter I wrote a friend just last week! Must be in the water here in Tacoma. Ray, I like your Triumph! I know it's' not a Britten or a Mains, but hey... I just thought we deserved a copy of this on the BadWeb do de do so happy together do de diddle snicker, Galen |
