took my bike in for 1000 mile service, after waiting six hour with an appointment asked the tec if he did a tps reset ( pipe and filter mods only)he said my idle was correct. is this right? |

no...adjusting the idle and reseting the tps are completely different. My idle was fine too..But after getting a tps reset, the first one since 7700 mile ago, the bike feels like a new animal again.. |

But you don't need a TPS reset for pipe and filter mods. Am I wrong? |

If you go with the Buell Race Kit (Race ECM installation), then yes, you must reset the TPS. If you are installing a TFI or Power Commander, it is not needed unless idling problems creep up. TPS resets are part of the first 1000 mile service, and every 10,000 mile service afterward on XB models, every 5000 miles on tubers. |
