2 questions for my 9r. 1st the connector is a just a little smaller on the new signals and need to be secured into the stock wireing connectors. any suggestions other than electrical tape? 2nd what is the best way to access the rear turn signal wires? thanks everyone. |

The "Best" way would be to build a wiring adapter for the new signals. Take your new plugs to the electrical supply store and find the connector that they plug into. Then find the connectore which plugs into the stock connector on the bike (hint, if you take your old signal in also, it will be the exact same one that is on your old signal). Then simply put a wire between them. You now have a handy adapter that will fit between the connector on your bike and your new turn signals. A simpler, easier way is just to cut the connectors and wire them directly together. You can cover the splice with either electrical tape or heat shrink tubing. It will work just fine until you want to change out your turn signals again. Then you'd have to cut and splice again. |

I have no idea how to get to the rear signals on an R, I have an S. I do however know that getting to the wiring on the rear signals of the S is a real b**ch, cause there's no slack in the wires to pull them out from under the rear compression damper. So good luck. |

you will have to remove the tail plastic/body work to get to the turn signal wiring they don't give you any slack to pull them out. |

i just replaced my tail light with the led tail light with turn signals built in. its Hott!!!! very bright,and it came with all the right connector on it. plug and play, 5 mins. i got it from AL at american sport bike. |

Mou5e- you shouldnt have to take off the black piece. You should just have to take off the blue tail section. At least thats how I did mine. |

Simple solution:Buy a set off bullet connectors, both male and female(blues ones will work fine) Cut old ones and the new signals and crimp them on....Don't use electrical tape or heat shrink tubing with out soldering the connection. If you are going to do it do it right the first time |

I second that motion Yeags30, It will save more time down the road to ride! Mou5e: not the undertail, but the painted bodywork, you do not have to remove the under tail plastic |

Xb12s I did the same setup but got stuck with a rejection sticker at the shop a few weeks back because the turns/brake leds were not physically seperated but still looks sweet |
