On my way home from a ride yesterday afternoon, I pull up to a light and a Honda 1000 pulls up next to me and starts reving his bike, I nodded he just looked at my bike up and down, I just shook my head, he revs again, im like this azzclown wants to race? oh boy. so the light turns green I pull off like i usually do and im ahead of him, he grabs full thgrottle blows past me and gives me the finger I was like ok.... so we get to the next red light and he seems me coming as i get close he blows the red light oh well just another day. I love my xb, people get so freaked over something different. Last tuesday on my way to hooters I was on the highway in heavy traffic and some guy in a ram 150,000 (the one with 6 wheels) almost broke his neck checking out my bike, he looked like the girl from the excorsist, I kept thinking this dude is going to ram someone in the back, So he gets next to me and gives me a thumbs up.

I like all th momos that look at the bike like it's from outer space then give me the "do a wheelie" sign like I'm here for their entertainment.

Very rarely do I wish bad on someone, but to bad he didn't get hit by a car doing that stunt. Darwin missed a good chance there.

Yeah i thought the same thing. I don't think the football jersey he had on would have provided any protection.

Hey, I'm sure that was a "safety" football jersey...just like the shorts and flip flops! The preferred riding apparel of the squid squad.

As I was trailering my bike to my shop to finish putting it together last month a guy on a R6 pulled up next to me. He sat next to my bike for a good half mile before pulling up to my window and giving me a thumbs up. It made me feel good. That feeling soon wore off as I wished I was him riding instead of puting my bike together

I had a doofus pull up to me in a Saab convertible once and asked if I wanted to race. I was laughing so hard when the light changed that he blew my doors in. It may have something to do with the fact that I was turning left, too? I've had kids follow me into parking lots and such to give me a thumbs up. Makes me all soft and warm inside.

It's just like me owning polaris atv's. no one respects them until I have to winch them out of the mud or deep water or they can't make it over/through something and I can. then they have the sweet look on there face but still end up talking crap. that's just how it is but that just makes me want whatever is different even more. anyone can go to a dealer and get a rice rocket but it takes a real man/woman to admit that they are willing to own what is different wether it be a polaris or a buell.

I've noticed that with Buells, people either love them or hate them. The funny thing is that a vast proportion of those who seemingly hate them have never ever even sat on one let alone ride one. They are so completely sold on the Japanese IL4s because of sheep mentality that they cannot for one moment open their narrow little minds and try something that is not only different but awesome. You know I was sold on Buells believe it or not at my local Suzuki dealership by a Suzuki salesman of all people.

Red, ain't that the truth. I was sold on the Buell after seeing them at an HD dealer up in Wisconsin during the HD 100th. (My brothers graduation from the Navy boot camp just so happened to fall on the same week.) Anyways, did a little research and knew that this was the bike I always wanted. A mixture of HD cruising and sportbike handling. Though, I would still like a few more ponies.

I'm in the 7/11 parking lot, shooting the fat with a couple of my Japazuki pals when this guy wearing a Vanson tee shirt in a pickumup truck pulls out of his parking space, and says to me: " Did you know that 97% of all Buells ever made are still on the road? The other 3% made it home" :-).
I guess that automatically makes me one of the 3%ers.
Is that bad?

No Cobb County Georgia...Southern NYC, if you will. Maybe more like Southern Newark...
