Previous owner installed a pingle petcock that drops straight down instead of making the 90 deg turn like the stocker. Any suggestions on how to mod the fuel line to better accept the turn? I am also looking at adding an inline fuel filter. Good or bad idea? Anyone tried? I am pulling my carb down tonight, I think I have a stuck float valve. Any suggestions will as always be apriciated. Your bike came stock with an inline fuel filter so that is a good idea. As for the petcock issue. I have a Pingle that has the 90 deg turn like you are supposed to have. It is basically brand new but has been used like 30 miles on a race bike. Cost $100 new. I will sell it for $55 plus shipping. ddunn@satx.rr.com |

Buelliedan, I'll take the fuel valve if Drfuyutuski isn't interested, I've been looking for one. Let me know. Thanks, Hodakaguy |

No way I'd pay $100 for a petcock. But, I'd pay $55 for a $100 petcock! If Hodakaguy doesn't want it, I'm next. |

I would definately add an in line filter -- the filter that fits over the petcock intake (inside the tank) has come adrift a couple of times on my M2, cherrfully filter gas inches from the petcock ;-} also, if you hunt, you'll be able to find a filter with the intake ant output at 90 degress to one another, solving your other challenge, yes? |

Dan, Since my current petcock is in working order I'll hang on it and try to find a 90 deg fuel filter. Hodaka its all yours, though I guess that is Dans decision. Thats the plan Bomber. Will start searching for one tonight. Josh |
