I apologise for going off-topic but this is a plea for help from an English XB rider to any Buellers in Michigan. To cut a long story short I had a Track-day crash and wrote a book about my recovery. Like all prospective authors (and drunk men)I became used to rejection but was delighted when an agent in Michigan asked for the manuscript and sent a contract back. I had mentally ordered the Hal's Speed shop race-bike through Trojan but now after I sent some money to pay for copying things have gone ominously quiet. If anyone is having a ride-out near Franklin they might call on Michelle Rooney Literary Agency, 32667, Haverford, Franklin, MI 48025 and see if she is kosher. Cheers! Martin |

but now after I sent some money to pay for copying Not a good sign. A legitimate literary agent might deduct certain items from your royalties, but should NEVER charge you money up front. I hope you didn't send them too much money in advance...? Call it a lesson learned and find a new agent. Rob |
