Its a great buy I love mine! Took mine from New Orleans to Detroit and N.O. to Chicago. I also think it looks so much better than stock. Makes the bike look a bit more mean.(if thats possiable!) Chop that rear fender off while your at it. The Corbin holds you on the bike alot better when you whack it also. These seats take about 500 or so miles to break in and mine seems to get better everytime I ride. I liked mine just fine out of the box but after 6000 miles its even better now! |

I love mine. Havnt gotten a chance to take to many long trips on it, i will soon, but i know that longer than norm runs my arse is much ess sore than it was with the stocker on there. Wasnt a fan for the first couple hundred, but suddenly one day it decided to brake in and have love it ever since |

It's cool except for one thing. The old lady says the passenger area is less comfortable for her. She likes the stock seat better. |

I have one friend who likes it better than my stock seat and another that likes the stock better than the corb. Guess it all depends on who is sitting behind you |

I've got about 5k miles on mine and I love it as well. Much more supportive in the back than the stocker. |

Hey guys I was checking in on Corbin, and they are now making a seat that is just like Buells streetfighter seat. The original Corbin for XB's had the higher passenger foam, this one is just like the streetfighter. Check out american sport bike its on their site! |

Jeremiah, They cut down the seat per my request for the American Sport Bike rear profile. The rear just looked too clubby, and the slope was not at all conducive to carrying a passenger at all. With the bobbed LP tail, the look just wasn't right to me, to stubby. It isn't just like the streetfighter, the front cup is more corbin-like, with a better defined seat cup and a slightly taller rear, just not as tall as the original Corbin profile. I try to keep one with the American Sport Bike rear profile in stock, but people keep buying it faster than I can replenish the shelf. It's a good problem to have There have been several stitching pattern variations along the way to try to get it optimized. They're were some issues with the front leather holding down tight to the seat foam, but those are all solved now. This is one of the good reasons to buy it thru someone like me, because I catch these things and get it fixed before the customer ever has to see it and deal with such issues. I move enough Corbin seats that they take care of me. Everything I buy goes thru one rep, he works hard to keep us happy. He is making sure that our seats are going thru one guy back in the shop that knows what we want. The Corbin for the XB-S is the only way to go. Vertical events don't leave you sliding forward and back, the seat pan actually fits the bike very nicely after some judicial trimming of the rear bumpers, and the long mileage comfort is way better than either the stock or streetfighter seat. I've done 300 mile days on the shop XB-S without event thinking about my a$$. The streetfighter seat still uses the same Buell stock seat pan, which is awful. It even hits the fuse block. About the only disadvantage of the Corbin is that it is quite a bit heavier. But that's because they understand that seat comfort starts with a well shaped stiff seat pan, NOT thick foam to cover up a bad seat pan's deficiencies. Al |

Thanks for the homework Al...from what I see in the pictures of the reworked seat design, looks like a great improvement. Too much overtime at work last week, figured I would spend some $ on the XB. I'm sure it will be the best 200+$ I will have spent so far. Looking forward to it's arrival. |
