It just started this past weekend. Now if I dont let her warm up for 3-5 min before I ride she runs a bit rough. When I start her to run it idles a bit weak and sounds like it almost dies. I thoght I got some bad fuell( always use 92 oct.) so I put a fuel boost in and it didn't help. I'm going to check the pluggs friday when I'm off. Any other sug.?
Thanks in advance.

Aaron

If it starts up good (strong starter) and the lights don't flicker much you can probably rule out the battery or charger.

I agree if you let it warm up for a while as you say and it runs good but if you don't let it warm up for at least a minute and ride it could be fouled plugs or just not warmed up enough.

If you find even when warmed up it still runs a bit rough (for a V-Twin) it could be timing or TPS. If the tach doesn't dance around the 1000 mark or just above at idle then it could be too low.

Personally I let it warm up for at least 30-45 seconds during the day with multiple rides and if sitting for more than 4 hours I let it warm up at least 2 minutes...usually check the fins on the left side with my hand and when they are starting to get fairly warm to touch then I put the gloves on, do easy take offs the first few times, and then go for it after that!

Mine does the same. I know it's partially due to fouled plugs.

i pulled the plugs got the expensive buell ones and the problem went away....i also learned that my bike was a bit gummed up from sitting all winter. A 110 mph blast down the highway cleaned her right out

Thanks ALL for the help. I'm going to pull the plugs tomorrow and see if they are as fouled as I think they might be.
