Can anyone tell me if this looks like it would fit my S1W bent mine when I dumped it. Found it on ebay. Stock shifter from tube frame Buell,exact year unknown as I have had 3 S-2's and 2 S-3's,not to mention boxes of parts from eBay.Good condition,chrome good,looks to be unbent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------  | ||

i think it is firemanjim who is selling it?? looks like the old shifter from my 98S1W, but hard to tell, the S2s looked real similar! i changed mine to the new X1 style shifter, polished up real nice too! (Message edited by sleez on April 22, 2005) | ||

Had a couple of e-mails with Mr.Dean and agreed to sell him the shifter for a whopping 5.00 to aid a downed Bueller.I had to cancel the auction to do this and he apparently thought on seeing this I was not going to sell to him.Here is his e-mail to me and my relplies. "where is my invoice for this item........I thought we agreed on a price ???????????????????????????????? for the buell shifter piece......im the guy you emailed that broke his in a wreck" My answer.-- "Your e-mail came across as a bit agitated.--- where is my invoice for this item........I thought we agreed on a price >???????????????????????????????? for the buell shifter piece......im the >guy you emailed that broke his in a wreck > > And as I am not in business of selling parts I have no invoice to send.And I am at work right now so cannot spend all my time on a computer,I was going to send you an e-mail with the info when I could get the time.I was only trying to help out a fellow Buell rider in need,so your message was percieved by me to be accusatory,agitated,angry,and unexpected.Jim." His reply-- "dion't have time for your pre madona ••••..................keep your shifter" So was I too sensitive??Course now I get to relist on eBay. | ||

i love that expression, it's soo true!! it's just some peoples nature (like mine too) to continue to be a good doobie and take the beating! i try to make up for it by always being courteous to people trying to do me a favor even if i don't want it!  | ||

Shifter; the "flat steel" chromed look makes it look "early style" to me. The shifter on my S3 was a sand-cast piece AFAIR. As to the bodywork - just confirms to me what I'd been thinking before; I will not be buying anything from Airtech ... ever. Henrik |
