My wife is busting my ass because the passenger seat is, can we say non-existant, we did 200 miles the other day and she was a hurt'n pup. Well I see Corbin makes one with a removable backrest, reatails close to $500. Does anyone know of any other options? Thanks in advance. BTW when I say other options divorce is not one of them. |

Get her her own Blast so she doesn't have to ride on the back!! That or get an M2/S3!! The X1 just doesn't cut it for 2 up riding!! |

Buell makes a custom seat for the X1. I like mine for rider comfort, and my wife hasn't complained about the new one vs the stock seat. I'm just not very happy with the fit of the seat to the bike. Very poor. |

I just had Mike Brunton re-do my X-1 seat... cost about $100. I shipped it to him, he changed the foam, widened and thickened it and recovered it with high grade basket weave vinyl (like Corbin's) on the seating area. Nice stitching, good work. Seat is very comfortable now. So here's the plug cause he does good work. Don't be put off by his gruffness-- "Mr. Personality" he ain't, but he sure knows upholstery and charges a fair price for his work.
