Y, y, y, y, y, y, y, y, y? I'm speechless. I thought Court had recovered and destroyed all those old video clips from his stunting days gone awry. |

Flying, my dear Tucsonian, is not the topic of concern. Landing, tis of a mind to me, of of more instant interest. I learned both a great deal about life and physics one night making good on a bet that I could parachute from a Buick Vista Cruiser station wagon. For the record, it can not be done. In addition, I was given a keen sense of how briskly a stationary wood utility poles when you are traveling 35MPH. As with our friend in the video, the flight was, for the most part, sheer unadultereated pleasure. Twas the landing that vaulted the event to my "once in a lifetime, only" list and provided me with the only broken bone I have ever had in my life. In an interesting twist of fate, twas the cast on my right leg that, just 3 weeks later, saved my right leg in a hail of gunfire. The cast was peppered and I still have a small chunk of bone missing, but had it not been for the cast, which caught about 48 pellets of #4 shot, I'd have a right stump. Life just makes me giggle some days......

Rex: I am pretty certain there is, but I'd have to run it down. Don Seig did an article a couple years ago that pretty well covered the Buell bicycle from inception to the World Downhill success that Glen Adams had in Italy. If you can't find anything, let me know. I have hard copies at home. It is, to this day, an amazing piece of machine, amazing part of Buell history and an amazign bicycle. Imagine....a bicycle with a suspension??? Doesn't seem so ludicrous these days, eh? It reminds me of why I giggle when folks decry the location of the Buell exhaust and then, a few short years later, roll out their "proof of concept" bikes with innovative features like mass centralization featuring a "low center mount muffler". Yeah...I bought one of those.....15 years ago.

I work at a college and saw some students in a class checking out this video. The guy is an Internet star now. I saw that same pit on MTV Cribs and I think it belongs to Eric Pastrana MX Freestyler. |

Court, you crack me up!That said, you are so right! I totally missed the point. The flying part was done quite well....the landing was a little less than desired. (Insert Python-esque voice here)Does anyone know the minimum airspeed velocity of an unladen motorcycle?? |

Scitz, I think you may have Eric Estrada, and Travis Pastrana inter-twined. |

Somewhere there is an old telephone pole telling his friends about the harrowing stunt of trying to dodge a teenager jumping from a moving car. |

New shiny aluminum pole, "Man, some kid almost wiped out into me on their damn skateboard!" Old wooden pole, "Remind me to tell you the story of the crazy kid in the Buick that ran into me some time...." |
