Speedo died at 6900 miles. I think from going thru the Knowledge vault it’s probably the sensor. What is the price on part # 74431-01 sensor. I have an extended warranty but if it’s under the deductible I’ll replace it on myself My selling dealer is only a servicing dealer now |

Fed My sensor died at about 4500 miles. I also have an '03 XB9S. From the threads the sensor does not appear to be a concern for the XB9S, but evidently it is not ideal either. Got a new sensor from DAVES and the scoot is happy again. Suggestion, if you don't have 'em, get a couple of wire ties before you change the sensor. I had to cut a couple under the sprocket/pulley cover...did not have replacement wire ties...but the wire appeared to route in front of the plastic part of the cover, so they are not dragging on anything...would have like to have had ties though. I will put ties on it as soon as I can locate some to secure the wiring in a bundle with the other wires. Just a suggestion...Cyko Bob |
