Any opinions , facts or experience with this oil additive. Says its a metal condioner. Witnessed its sales pitch at a bike meet, the demonstration consisted of a 1/2 hp electric motor with 3" by 1/2 inch wide metal disc chucked up ,spinning thru a tray of motor oil. A torque wrench was set up to apply pressure to spinning surface , he would then stall electric motor , note the torque reading it took to do so, and look at damage to the spinning surface. A new "bearing surface" would be chucked up, Militec added to oil tray motor flipped on and he would not be able to stall motor at all. Torque wrench was a "needle pointer". Quite a snake oil pitch but was impressive. Its called Militec and apparently the military uses it.i know, another lube thread  | ||

If your using a good synthetic oil you should not use a additive. | ||

I wouldn't use an additive... That said... militec RULES as a gun lubricant. Can you get me some contact info to order the stuff? I bought a small container some number of years ago and used it for my guns with great success. I ran out, and haven't been able to find it since. When it comes to my Buell... I would use it on bushed pivot points. Stuff like the brake and clutch lever and that sort of thing. Not the cable, but the bushing in the lever. I don't think I would add it to my Mobil-1 though... | ||

i would agree!!!!! shouldnt need it in your motor if you use synth. i used it in the past in my big single ascot. shiffting was real nice, but the amsoil and mobile 1 i tried latter seemed to work just as well. and M1 is correct ,it's a great arms lube! | ||

A torque wrench was set up to apply pressure to spinning surface" operating inside your favorite motorcycle crankcase you might consider such a product. my motorcycles are each doing very well with various motor oils in them. | ||

When you see the motor stalled with torque wrench reading 50lbs, then add the Militec and torque wrench reading of 150 lbs is not stopping same electric motor kind of makes you go hmmmm. | ||

Spray can gun cleaner. Yea, brake cleaner. Just don't get it on plastics. |
