Wow, I just started up my bike with the new force pipe on it. In the garage. Mistake. That is one loud pipe! I think my ears are bleeding... Has a really cool sounding rumble at idle kind of like the D&D, but it barks loud when you roll the throttle. Once my ears stop ringing and it cools down I'll be putting the TFI on. I need a TPS reset because I put a stock ECM back in, if I put the TFI on can they do the reset or will I need to unhook all the wires and put the bike back to its normal config? Surprisingly the bike idled and rolled on without any issues, I thought being a new ECM the zero would be out of synch and cause some roughness, hesitation or backfires. |

If the old stock ECM was last reset for your bike, you should be good to go... Do you have a 12? If so... My settings are 1:00, 4:30, 6:00, 7:30-45. My 12 ran very rich from 2K-3K, and a little lean above that with the 3,7,4,7 settings recommended in the manual. Also... Have you re-inforced the chin spoiler mounting bracketry? If not... DO SO! Mine broke in less than a week. |

Errr.... If you have the GenII Force pipe, dis-regard the warning about the chin spoiler . |

Also... either way, I think you will need the baffle. |

baffles are the same. unless you got a baffle for the "big bore" Force pipes. I think the outlet on those is 3" as compared to 2.75" for the "regular" Force systems. It should slide right in, drill a hole and nail it down. |

In the force pipe is there any baffling without the add-on or is it just a straight pipe? |

Straight pipe...although it is cone shaped... |

It's a reverse megaphone. No baffling. It worked VERY well from 3K-6800 w/o the baffle, but 2K-3K was murdelized. After the baffle, there's noticeably less peak power, but the bike works noticeably better on the lower end. |

You all know I'm prejudiced, but I still say the Drummer is the best all around pipe. Wait 'till you see the new Drummer SS in all stainless steel. Kevin shipped me the prototype yesterday. |

I think I may prefer the Drummer as well... but the topic was about Force. I may call Kevin in the fairly near future and see what he can do with a Force header and Drummer can... |

I'd like to have just the megaphone. |

Yes, I agree with Glitch. The megaphone would be nice. And maybe cheaper$$$ than the whole system. |

yeah, the baffle doesnt fit worth a . when I hold it up to the pipe, it continues at the same angle as the outlet. pretty much the same diameter. its going to have to be POUNDED on to work, even then it might need a slit or some prying around the circumference of the baffle. bolt on my |

Mine bolted on just fine... The baffled portion just slipped into the pipe, I drilled a hole through the tapered portion of the baffle, the end of the exhaust and then the baffled portion (Made a hole through all of them) and then used the supplied bolt and nut, added some red loctite and drove away... Then the chin spoiler bracket broke in less than a week, now I have re-infoced it and it seems to be holding up well... |

HA! bad choice of words... my first one fit fine. the gen II's with the baffle they sent me are way off. (taking 2 pipes the same diameter and trying to 'slide' one over the other) I'll take some pics next week when I start working on it again. plus I haven't rode in several months and I need to 'exercise the demons' I'll be sure to get it on tape. |

Hey, So those of you who have a force pipe on your xb, what is your overall assessment of the pipe. Are you happy with it? Does the volume become tiresome after some time? Do you think that you'll switch pipes later on? |
