Well tomorrow will be the 1 year anniversary of the accident that has left me paralyzed. March 7th is a day that I won't forget. Thank you to all of you who reached out to help me. Let's all try to ride safe out there. Accidents happen wether it is on a bike or in a car, but bikes offer less protection. Please consider wearing protection and ride within your ability. Enjoy your ride! Your all in my thoughts. | ||

Thanks for the reminder (even though I don't have a Buell so I will tell my Dad) and I am sorry to hear of your situation. Hopefully someday medicine will be able to help people in your situation. | ||

Ted....Bubba says Howdy!!! He's in Green Bay for some truck driver training. I saw him last nigth. We were mentioning that tomorrow was the 1 year date. Sounds like things are getting better for you. You'll have to tell us about this crazy car you've been been using to tear up the roads. If you don't mind, we'll try to get in touch before heading down there in May/June. Hey, Ted! Good to hear from you. It's been almost a year since my accident. The jacket I was wearing didn't have back armor. I was lucky I didn't hurt my spinal cord, though I did break part of my L2 vertebra. I'll be riding this summer when I've recovered from my last surgery, and for sure I'll be using back armor. Riding on two wheels is fun. Riding on no wheels isn't so fun. | ||

Hi Ted, Good post and excellent advise. Very good to stay with us in this family. I have missed then the story about your accident, so it hits me now with its catastrophic results. Jumped in with a plan to write about the dangers from daily life, with our false tendency to bagatellize them, because we are keeping our safety measures only for our dangerous sports.
