Performance Mods!: | Loretta : Buell heated grips, tour seat, bra, XB Lights tail, de-cheesegratered. Polished Signature Series RR sliders from Keith at Dark Horse. Drummer and K&N - Erik Buell Racing race ECM. Uly (The Beast) : stock motor/ECM, TKC-80 tires 2012 1190RS EBR - IDS programmable ECM, Drummer SS, Firebolt mirrors w/ bar-end turn signals, de-noid & tied butterflies. Started mile racing - safety wire fork pinch-bolts, both oil drain plugs, rear axle nut and build a 1/8" aluminum chainguard. |
Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | Ruined the belt at 1700 miles. Muffler bolt backed out(I now use Loctite) and jammed the tension pulley. My FU. Found a bad front exhaust cam lobe on the 12.4k service - warranty repair, down a month. Toggle switch died, new IC at 13.2k, '09 IC WITH gear indicator - warranty R&R. 22k miles - Front brake recall, right fork leg replaced due to hose wearing, clutch leak addressed with x2086.1AM kit, Warr R&R. Fuel level sensor bad, R&R fuel pump, one month later - fuel pump died. warranty R&R Uly - I think she's a tad tall and like to take naps. Never dropped while moving, but while stationary - 6 times. She handles it very well, so far all I've broken is a windshield and a mirror. |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Loretta : rear-end liposuction, integrated tail/stop/signal w/ clear lens from XB Lights, hand-made license mount from Aluminum and SS-304; removed passenger pegs; heated grips, Tour seat; knurled gold bar-ends in Summer, polished silver for Winter, Amber Translucid wheels; de-reflectored; black rear-cylinder heat-shield; Kuryakyn LED voltmeter; Ulysses Black 1" drop footpegs, frame and swingarm OEM paint w/ polished clear lacquer overcoat. Kick-Ash windscreen. RevB clutch Cover & Puck, re-route front brake line like '09 models. Brother's ashes and Spare Belt coiled under seat. The Beast : re-wired for Hi-Lo together on Hi-Beam, PIAA driving lights, all 4 bulbs up front Ultra-White halogens, Hand-guard extensions, Palmer brackets with tall W/S, Comfort kit, Maximum's heat blankets, Baldwin seat, single LED voltmeter in dash, Full Outdoorsman bags, top box, added net hooks to lid, 5-0dro drive pulley cover and engine sliders |
