| Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): | Hundreds of fire/forest service roads up here in North central Washington. I live in the middle of Colville National Forest and have yet to explore all the roads. Grew up riding in So-Cal, desert riding and canyon racing. Fav twisties in So-Cal include Latigo, Sycamore, Encinal, La Tuna, Mulholland, Deer Creek Canyon roads in the Santa Monica mountains. Soledad, Sand Canyon. Lake Hughes Rd., Pine Canyon Rd., Old Ridge Route that runs parallel to I-5 from Hwy 138 to Castaic. Highway 33 from Ojai to the Lockwood Vally cutoff. Highway 150 from Santa Paula to Ojai. These are all hardcore twisty roads and most are devoid of squids. Jawbone, Red Rock, Alamo Mountain/Hungry Vally OHV areas. The last one has water and trees, campsites. |
| Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | Who can argue with the charm of a hod rod sporty motor in a dual sport platform? Ever since I saw a buddy of mine make a sportster canyon racer back in the late 70's I was stoked. |
| How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | If I can come up with any suggestions I'll post them. |
| Life History/Philosophy: | First motorcycle was a Hodaka Super Rat. I have been riding since 15 years old and have had 29 motorcycles since then. My Uly will be bike number 30. 15 years in civilian aviation maintence field, 7 years as a professional driver, enthusiastic participant of Operation Iraqi Freedom III, 2005-2006. Drove flatbed and tanker trucks on convoys as a civilian DOD contractor. Philosophy? Honor the Golden Rule; Treat others the way you would like to be treated. |
