| Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | about 34K now. I had a problem with vibration,my eye glasses would bounce on my nose at any speed over 60 mph.The dealer replaced all the mounts, checked the neck bearings,etc. It turned out to be the new michilin tires-that had just been put on- were .090 out of round/run out. New tires. problem solved. |

| Why I do/don't ride a Buell: | Why I ride my buell? I like twins. I like the Sportster lump. I like what I know about Erick. I like that it IS made in American. I have a Vincent, an Iron XR, An FXRT, a '45 U model, etc. As I said in my quote. The Buell is an Egli HD, A Norvin. As if you blended a sporster motor, with Norton rubber mounts, and had it all made by mopar (just look at the paint colors and the instruments). I have had my bike since '99, I bought it sight un seen/mail order. It had been an HD fleet bike. I would NEVER sell it. I love it. |
| How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: | I wish they had kept making the tube frame models, if only just the M-2. Other than that, have smarter/more knoweldgeable people handle customer service. I HATE knowing more than the people I am seeking help from. |
| Life History/Philosophy: | Hmm. I kind of could never make up my mind. I owned English bikes, and then HDs. and then both. Always seem to be wearing the wrong clothes or riding the wrong bike for either group. I just like motorcycles, but mostly those that have that look of the classic, or at least honest and original. I'd like to own a Puch. Just bought a Velo LE project. I guess I like motorcycles that were designed by inidividuals, and NOT a committee. Erik brought his dream, he 'look' to HD's V twin. And many of us are very happy that he did. Just look at the Street Figher Niche the Japanese are saying 'they created it!' duh! |
